Restaurant Schifflände sits right at Lake Greifensee, and is such an absolute pleasure to be in that I rank it as one of the best places to go to in Switzerland.. I’m still dreaming about it!

Relaxed yet refined, the spacious cafe has a very large outdoor area that is just darling to sit in when it’s sumertime – think a nice breeze from the trees, lots of sparkling sunlight, and fresh air all around. How we loved it!

The kids ate so well – slurping up their soup, pasta, fish, and later, ice cream. I guess I would too, if I were a kid and having a grand ol time enjoying the scenery and having a great meal!

This is the interior of the restaurant, which I was also in love with. Those dove grey baskets on the wall… that vintage candle holder in front… *head explodes*

And OH HELLO, this is the playground at the restaurant! Yep, a giant, fully-fledged playground… complete with a working train on tracks. *kids heads explode*

Yep. We’ve got two pretty happy kids right here.

And feeding the ducks (and swan) with a big bag of stale bread that the restaurant kindly gave the kids. Everyone and everything is really kid-friendly in Switzerland.

Straight outside Restaurant Schifflände is the boat dock, where the boat leaves every hour. My kids love boat rides, so they were in their element.

This is what an utterly happy, relaxed, and tanned two year old looks like 🙂
