I’ve been outta town for a few days, but I’m really glad to read this entry (late!) and hear that Star is doing better. I hope that she has been continuing to improve. It’s because of your care and hard work. She’s a lucky little ferret!

It is not stupid to be excited when a pet pulls through! I didn’t even know Star’s sick (so much for logging in more often) so it’s great to hear she’s getting better!
I rescued a dying baby bird and I had to hand-feed her through a syringe all kinds of supplements and medication every 2 hours so I know how tough it is. (She got better and now we keep her.)
But it sounds like you’re doing a fantastic job!

That was so nice of you to nurse the baby bird, it must have been so tough! But yes, the moment they take a turn for the better makes it ALL worth while 🙂
I’m so happy to hear that she is doing better. I know what it’s like to have a pet that feels like a baby/child to you, and then to have them be life-threatening sick, AND to be going through it (physically… temporarily) alone.. it’s all just too much, and absolutely heart-breaking. It’s wonderful to hear that she is doing better; I hope she continues to improve and make a complete comeback. I know you would be absolutely devastated….
And don’t think no one wants to hear about this aside from Chris. ESPECIALLY since she is beginning to improve (we need updates like this!).. I know I am not alone in caring, and wanting to hear about your little furbaby. 🙂

Glad that Chris is back home, and that you have some support now. The the opportunity for yourself to recuperate too. Not sure what is available there etc, but fortify yourself with something – chicken essence/ginseng tea/chicken soup/fortified wine…

Isn’t it hard being a parent? When Colossus is sick it’s like the whole world is on my shoulders. I lay awake watching him sleep making sure he’s comfortable. I’m glad your baby is improving! 🙂

Yay for Star! I wasn’t too worried, I felt she would recover. But the smaller you are the more being sick and/or dehydrated is a major setback and it takes time. It’s very good that it wasn’t contagious and didn’t affect your other ferret because having two down at once would have been even worse. Hopefully it’s all uphill from here.
I hadn’t thought about airport hassles for Chris after being in the USA. But, yeah, I can see where paranoia might make them detain and question people returning from there even though there is such low risk any one person got exposed.
Wishing you sleep and rest and much happy snuggling with all members of the family. 🙂
yeah i do think smaller animals get hit harder – poor lil critters! i HOPE its not contagious.. so far Misty is still ok :X

Even though I am usually on the sidelines but I am very happy to here that Star is getting better! I remember when my niece first got sick I was so worry how I was going to handle it but in she got better. I know when Chris get home seeing the kids healthy makes you happy then it makes him happy.

I’ve been outta town for a few days, but I’m really glad to read this entry (late!) and hear that Star is doing better. I hope that she has been continuing to improve. It’s because of your care and hard work. She’s a lucky little ferret!

It is not stupid to be excited when a pet pulls through! I didn’t even know Star’s sick (so much for logging in more often) so it’s great to hear she’s getting better!
I rescued a dying baby bird and I had to hand-feed her through a syringe all kinds of supplements and medication every 2 hours so I know how tough it is. (She got better and now we keep her.)
But it sounds like you’re doing a fantastic job!

Isn’t it hard being a parent? When Colossus is sick it’s like the whole world is on my shoulders. I lay awake watching him sleep making sure he’s comfortable. I’m glad your baby is improving! 🙂

Yay for Star! I wasn’t too worried, I felt she would recover. But the smaller you are the more being sick and/or dehydrated is a major setback and it takes time. It’s very good that it wasn’t contagious and didn’t affect your other ferret because having two down at once would have been even worse. Hopefully it’s all uphill from here.
I hadn’t thought about airport hassles for Chris after being in the USA. But, yeah, I can see where paranoia might make them detain and question people returning from there even though there is such low risk any one person got exposed.
Wishing you sleep and rest and much happy snuggling with all members of the family. 🙂
yeah i do think smaller animals get hit harder – poor lil critters! i HOPE its not contagious.. so far Misty is still ok :X

I had an almost similar depressing experience after I sent my cat for spaying. She hated me for a period of time. But that’s all in the past yea.

Even though I am usually on the sidelines but I am very happy to here that Star is getting better! I remember when my niece first got sick I was so worry how I was going to handle it but in she got better. I know when Chris get home seeing the kids healthy makes you happy then it makes him happy.

Even though I am usually on the sidelines but I am very happy to here that Star is getting better! I remember when my niece first got sick I was so worry how I was going to handle it but in she got better. I know when Chris get home seeing the kids healthy makes you happy then it makes him happy.
BTW: Can’t wait to see your sephora haul your sweetie got for you!
