Thanks… I’m feeling much better about it now, but I think I’ll be worried when I’m back on the same highway end of this week :X

I’m ok now.. took 2 days to feel back to normal but at least nothing injured

I totally recommend eBay! It’s really a blast working here 🙂

sigh as usual, I’ve been delayed in my LJ readings :\
read this so late. Anyway, glad that you are okay. accidents are scary regardless.

It def was scary..and kinda surreal now that I’m back in AU and everything is back to normal, when that only happened a few days ago!

It was really close.. I think a few people were injured but it hasn’t made news in Australia and I can’t find news about it online 🙁
More backdated entries to come later today!

Wow, you have such an exciting life! I’m really glad to hear that you came out of that near-wreck safely. Hopefully the others did too. Glad also that the rest of your USA trip was pleasant! Heh, be sure to visit the midwest sometime if you haven’t already!

I would prefer if it was a little less exciting, in that aspect 😛

I did enjoy the rest of my USA trip, it was nice to be back after so many years!

Ohmygod. Thank God you’re safe!!! 🙁 Must have been absolutely terrifying. I’ve been in two minor car accidents since I’ve started driving and the trauma is part of it, but I can only imagine how it is for you, being the passenger, and the magnitude of it all… I’m just glad you’re okay. Have yourself checked for injuries just in case. Take care Bev!

It happened so quickly i just was in shock. Things are a lot different when you’re IN the car speeding towards a solid metal truck, as opposed to seeing it in the movies. I definitely dont’ want to do that again!

Miss Beverly my dear dear dear miss Beverly. I must say, I just scrolled back on your back dated entries and I loveeeee reading every single one of your entries, about your experiences and all in the states.

Wow the Google headquarters sounds like a dream job. That must be a true experience. It’s really awesome for you to enjoy this whole trip. You must do a very good job in Ebay for them to bring you here like that. Whatever it is You’re worth it!!!

More to come.. probably later tonight 🙂 It was a good trip! The most exhausting week ever, work wise, but I enjoyed it through and through. Thanks for your nice words! 🙂

thanks 🙂 I had a massive headache yesterday but I”m OK this morning.. so think it’s all good! *crosses fingers*

Glad to hear you’re ok!

Something similar happened when I was driving back from the snow, except it was all in slow motion.

What an awful way to end your trip. I can’t imagine what it would feel like to be in that situation, especially seeing the lady in the car next to you. Glad to hear you made it home safely.

i haven’t been to a doc yet.. no time, and feel a bit weird going! :X
I posted a few posts already 🙂 More to come!

How scary! I’m glad you’re okay Bev! What day/time did this happen? My friends and I were going up to SF on Sunday and I remember someone saying there was a big accident on one of the highways so we took a different route.

Glad to hear you’re ok!

Oh my gosh, I’m so glad you’re okay! I’ve never seen a huge accident like that but I can just imagine how terrifying it must have been for you, especially when you’d just woken up! But as someone else said, it’s a serious crime to leave the scene of an accident… and it does sound pretty suspicious that he left right away and then stopped later on.

I haven’t been in an accident before and it was just unbelieavable.. and yeah, esp cos i was half-asleep! IT was like some kinda dream.

I ddin’t even think it was weird the cabbie left, I was like “yeah ok, let’s get out of here ASAP, it’s too chaotic and I’m scared”. but a few mins later I was thinking “huh? why’d we just leave? aren’t we supposed to give statements?”!

THANK G*D YOU’RE OKAY!! my poor bev 🙁 you know what? Often when I take a taxi or cab I don’t wear seat belts :/ Your experience has just made me want to wear seat belts EVERYtime! So glad you’re okay and take care Bev =)

Yeah it’s not common to wear seat belts, esp in cabs! I’m REALLY GLAD i wore mine.. we were on a 5-lane highway, so you can imagine how fast everyone was going :X

Thats really odd that the guy left, you know? Especially since he wasnt doing anything wrong – well at the accident anyway… It’s an offense to leave the scene of an accident like that – makes me think the guy had something to hide…like no liscene or something. Who knows what all else…

Chances are someone did get his plate tho and report it – which wouldnt be too good for him. Leaving the scene of an accident is a serious driving offenese… which is what makes me wonder about him.

Anyway …. Glad you weren’t hurt bad but your mom is right, you should get checked out. Not all accident related injuries are immediately apparent…

And I’m with you on speeding – I worked on an ambulance sqaud a few years and in hospitals lots of years – seen lots of bad accidents. Its just not worth it to get the three minutes faster…or even 15 minutes faster…just not worth it.

take care of yourself

Yeah i thought afterwards it’s weird that we drove off.. almost like we’d just stopped a red light and not just been in an accident. Maybe he wanted to get me to the airport quickly?! I have no idea.. I was in too much of a shock to even question it. B ut boy am I glad we weren’t speeding!

Wow.. that is terrifying..
Most glad you are out without a scratch!

God has more time for you then.. use it well =)

I thought it was pretty amazing the cabbie wasn’t speeding and we got out pretty much unscathed! Feel bad for the other cars 🙁

Yes, I was praying in the back seat thanking God for the entire trip afterwards, just couldn’t believe what i’d just been through/saw.

I did tip him, hehe.. good on him for going BELOW the speed limit!

OMG! THANK GOD YOU’RE OKAY! That was so close indeed. Luckily you wore the seat belt. Many wouldn’t even bother with that thing these days. Oh, the horror..

You know you’re right.. most people don’t wear seat belts. It’s the law to in Australia so fortunately I’m used to it, but in Singapore for example, passengers don’t really use seat belts!

That sounds horrible! *hugs* I hope you are feeling better now! And I am so glad you’re ok!! I hope you go to the doctor for a check up just in case!

It’s quite funny thinking about it.. the cabbie was the one going at the speed limit, and the other normal cars were speeding! What a lesson to learn..

Hey, it is good to have you back 🙂 The incident you described is really really scary. Hope you’ve gotten over your shock now and hope no one was seriously injured.

My colleagues were in a situation like yours once, and they were required to see a doc to check if the whiplash hurt their necks/spines – apparently for insurance claims if anything was really wrong.

I’ve never been in a real accident so it was scary! My mum wanted me to go to the doc but I dunno.. I’m not puking or anything..

OMG! that’s a really harrowing experience!!

am so glad you’re fine. did you managed to find out if there were any fatalities?
