They had canoes available for hire, so off we went!
Chris and I trying to figure out how to get all the kids on board, one by one, a rocking canoe. We were really afraid one would slip and fall! But, all managed to get on board without a hitch. Whew.
Anddddd………. we rowed out, then the boys jumped straight off the boat into the water! It was really warm, so Chris said it was so refreshing jumping in. Unfortunately, I had to stay on board because I wasn’t in my swimmers, and I was designated driver, I mean, rower.
How happy do they look?! The kids were a bit nervous jumping into such deep water at first, but they were loving it within seconds.
We chilled by the water and had a peaceful lunch afterwards. It wasn’t too pricey – well, for Swiss standards – especially considering the gorgeous view we had.
Some of the summer flowers in Switzerland – lavender and.. roses? It makes the whole place look so naturally vibrant!
Hunter was in flower appreciation mode 24/7 in Switzerland. He normally has zero interest in anything apart from vehicles, so it was quite a surprise that he was SO into flowers!
Something else in Switzerland that the kids always gravitated to – water bubblers. There are drinking taps, often in the most random and obscure of locations, offering icy cold crystal clear water. Unbelievably refreshing to splash on yourself to cool off, and also so thirst quenching.
A view straight off a postcard. But it was actually taken by me as we were driving along one of the main roads. Imagine living in that house!
