wow, i think renting apartments in sydney is much more expensive than in melbourne. i’m paying $420 a week for the 2 bedroom apartment i’m sharing with my sis but we’re practically in the city. before when i shared a 3 bedroom with 3 friends on the outskirt of the city (abt 10 mins away) it was only $400 per week.
Well, it also is because it’s close to Uni so there’s a super huge demand! Randwick is really expensive – and it’s not like the places are gorgeous either :T

Personally, I can’t imagine what it’d be like being token female in a male-dominated techie environment. I think I’d probably end up taking lots of shopping breaks during the work day or something, to you know, cleanse myself with beauty products 😛
Hrm… it IS a bit token-ish.. kinda sucks that there are SO many guys and pretty much no girls in the computing department.. but at least all of them are nice and not derogatory and think I’m stupid ‘cos I’m female, so it’s all good.

It’s a new Dell computer and has about 500mbs RAM and a $5000 video editing card, which was the main component that made it so expensive. Then a 21″ flat screen monitor and a spiffy keyboard a mouse kinda added to it too.. it was nice 🙂

Weeell.. not THEIR errors that they made, but I guess the web admin did one thing, the sys admin another, and the head sys admin thought another thing. They need to communicate more before making decisions 😛 It was a shock too cos for the past 1 month it’s been sooo easy going and relaxed, and on Fri everything just went nuts! But at least everything is sorted now.. so *whew*
