I’ve
Well, actually I’ll just briefly mention the first one: NARS Pressed Powder. It’s a wonderful pressed powder that is also excellent for travel because of the sleek compact. I don’t use it with the (lousy, IMHO) thin scraggly pad that it comes with, but rather my large Stila powder brush. It picks up just enough product without wastage, and deposits a sheer and light veil of powder (as opposed to using a pad where you end up using a much heavier hand).
This is awesome when I use it to set my foundation, when I want a super refined look for going out. But, I also dust it over my face on top of tinted moisturizer, and it sets it so well (no oiliness!) to last me through the day. Been using this daily and I love it!
OK, so the second product is the main reason for this post: NARS cream blush. This is kind of like the exact opposite of the Dior Cheek & Lip Glow that I talked about just a few days ago – they both give such different results, yet I like both.
So this is the NARS cream blush in Cactus Flower, swiped straight out of the pan and applied with a heavy hand. You’ll see the absolutely GORGEOUS colour here – a luscious, girly pink-coral with loads of micro gold shimmer infused through it.
The colour nearly made my heart stop when I saw it. It does look alarmingly bright in the pan, not to mention with enough glitter to overexcite a toddler.
But, when applied, it sheers out beautifully…
It gives a really darling flush to the cheeks, and the gold glitter tones down to a soft glimmer. It looks really pretty against matte skin and paired with nude lips.
Only downside? Longevity isn’t as long as a cheek stain. And, it’s discontinued. Well, guess there’s always eBay!
