Hunter has been to the dentist yearly since he turned 1 year old (this is the standard recommendation by the way). So we headed back to the dentist for his 3 year old dental checkup!

I was a bit nervous because, since it’d been a whole year since we’d taken him to the dentist, I wasn’t sure if he would wig out and refuse to let the dentist check his teeth.

As it turns out, he was a bit nervous (especially with the metal objects in his mouth), but was fine. He sat still, let the dentist poke around inside, and that was that!

And the dentist was happy to report that Hunter has really healthy and strong teeth. It’s good news for us, and rewarding to hear as parents, because we know it’s largely due to his super-healthy diet that’s very low in sugar/desserts, and because he diligently brushes his teeth twice a day. I just hope he keeps this all up! 🙂
