Oh my god, Bev! I haven’t been on LJ for a long time and I come on here and read about your eyes and just… thank goodness you’re better now!! 🙁

WOW what maddness you’ve had to go through. I’m sorry about your grandmother. 🙁 Retail therapy is ALWAYS a cure for feeling poopie. Cleaning & retail therapy is my happiness. HAHA

Yeah it really has been a crap Jan so far.. esp since I didn’t get to make it back to Singapore 🙁

I’ll take the retail therapy but not the cleaning part, hehe!

Glad it didn’t affect yr eyesight after all, though it really sounded creepy!

Highly suspect you could have caught it in SG, cos there was an outbreak couple months earlier, and I was a sad statistic too =(

This story is so surreal… sounds like some gruesome disease out of one of those medical dramas! Glad to know that you’re on the mend and back to posting your shopping finds. Yay for retail therapy! 🙂

sounds really scary! I can only imagine your helplessness in blur vision. But you sound really brave! I was freaking out when i had blur vision from conjunctivitis for a couple of days! Get well soon!! *hugz*

the vision is still blurry which is so frustrating and scary 🙁 It will take awhile to clear up cos my corneas have to heal… but i hope they do heal!

Can whatever freakly alien disease that you had result in permanent vision loss say… if you had ignored it and not had the surgery? It sounds pretty damn scary. Anyway, good to hear you’re well on the way to a full recovery 🙂

It’s amazing how much you can tolerate sometimes.. I never thought I couldn’t gone through with it too, but i didn’t have a choice, doh!

I couldn’t help scrunching my eyes shut when you described the scraping procedure *shudder* Esp since earlier last week, my right eye went red, and part of the white part started bulging and looking like it was going to overlap the pupil.

Sooo glad to hear your eyes are better. Very fortunate it was something they could fix then and there! How did you catch it?

mine was just that the regular virus affected me badly for some reason 🙁
*ouch* yours sounds super painful too!! Ahh.. we both have sucky eyeballs :X Hope yours is getting better too 🙂

… that bit must’ve really freaked you out.

I hope you feel heaps better ASAP.

i read this post with a smile at the end though because you still managed to post your clothing purchases!!!

Did you just went for lasik a few months back? Was lasik the cause of this infection or are the doctors still investigating? Does that mean that you have to live with thinner cornea in both eyes now? I know it is a lot of questions but am quite concern since it can potentially be a recurring thing if it starts off as an infection.

Lasik was 13months ago so it wasn’t affected by the virus, thank God!!
APparently the surface will grow back but not 100% sure it won’t be scarred.. so will just have to see :X

Yeah I just coudln’t see so I couldn’t really post anymore 🙁 My vision is still fuzzy but I’ve got my computer set to SUPERBIG font so that helps, heh!

bev! i’m so sorry to hear about your messed-up eye… but i must say, the way you wrote about it was freakin’ HILARIOUS. i was reading it to my boyfriend this morning.

i can only call your experience hilarious because it’s all over now. 🙂

The AH silk blouse was $149 I believe, and then it was 20% off that price. If you want it ask your friend to get it pronto, as it’s selling out quick since it’s pretty cheap and on sale on top of that! Or let me know your size and I can get it for you too.. I’ll be there tomorrow morning 🙂

Don’t stress your eyes so much. Get someone to help you set up your PC so that it can read the emails and LJ entries for you! 😛 I’ve had to help a blind couple set their machines up long ago…

oh my … I’m so glad you’re out of the woods now, because all of it sounds really scary. I hope it’s all good from now on, including lots of shopping, dinner with friends, and of course, great eye sight 🙂 have a great weekend!

it was quite similar to the lasik procedure to be honest, since it was all on the eyeball whilst you’re awake *gulps*

Hahah i had trouble shopping! My vision was clearer but still not perfect so I had to kinda feel the stuff and gauge/imagine what they look like HAHA!
