D’you know what’s great about Cantonese food? It’s tasty AND healthy! And when you find a restaurant that does it well, life is just good πŸ˜‰ Kam Boat Chinese Cuisine is just an all-round fantastic Chinese restaurant. The service is one of the best I’ve experienced – the waiters/waitresses are super attentive almost to the point where they’re overly-eager to refill our tea 12613646 times throughout the meal, haha! They’re really polite, agreeable and the prices are pretty reasonable for what you get.

The 3 of us ordered an assortment of dishes – some of which were part of a set meal and some a la carte. Everything was, literally, spectacular. The only complaint was the Beef Shank that we ordered – it came to us in a claypot and was thin slices of beef shin, so incredibly tough and weird-smelling it was inedible. We told the waitresses and she was apologetic and promptly proposed another dish, the Stewed Beef Brisket to swap. It’s pretty unusual as you’re more often than not scowled at if you complain πŸ˜‰ Anyway, the 2nd dish of beef promptly appeared on our table and was absolutely delicious, so all was well.

It’s an excellent restaurant – really fine food and very well displayed, with super service. I like πŸ™‚

Kam Boat Chinese Cuisine

Braised Peanuts – OMG these were so good!!!

‘Buddha Jump Over The Wall’ soup – chock full with sharks fin, mushrooms, abalone, etc

BBQ chicken and roast pork cold platter – so tasty and the meat was really tender

Cheong Fun – slippery rice noodles dipped in some black sauce and peanut sauce. YUM

Prawn Dumplings with Salad Sauce – this was yum too!

Char Siew Pao – BBQ pork fluffy buns, they were so warm and really hit the spot

Deep Fried Soon Hock Fish – OMG, the best I’ve had. Crisp on the outside, super soft on the inside

Stewed Beef Brisket – lovely in thick rich gravy, the beef just fell apart

E-Fu noodles – pretty standard but I’m always a fan of e-fu noodles!

Mango Pudding with milk – mmmmm…

Tortoiseshell jelly – can’t remember the name, but it was my 1st time trying it and I LOVE IT!!!!

Forgot the name of this as well, some ball dessert.

Mummy and I, happy stuffed!
