goodness, girlie! you definitely have quite a catch there – both the pressie AND the boy! 😉

playing comment catch up — i totally feel you on the new found exercise regime! i’d just rediscovered a pair of delicious skinny leg lee jeans in my wardrobe the other night (perfect for all the current rage!), but to my sheer horror — upon hurriedly putting them on — couldn’t even button it up! 😮 😮 😮

resolved on going to the gym every day this week during my lunch breaks – luckily there’s one near work at chatswood so shouldn’t be too difficult – i hope! *fingers crossed* lol

but as for something that will probably not help y/our cause atm!
big fat question coming your way (no pun intended!):
my birthday is coming up in a week and I need your professional advice regarding the absolute three best “MUST-EAT-AT” restaurants in/around the city + recommended dishes. if you could lend a hand, it would be very much appreciated 😉 cheers!

I like the boy more 😀

Yayy we can both be healthy – hey I often work to Chatswood, do you live around there?

HMMMMMM as for your bday meal!!! Ooooh;.. is it breakfast/lunch/dinner? What food do you specifically like, in terms of cuisine? LMK then I’ll tell you the best places I’ve tried 🙂

chris was watching over your shoulder whilst you typed that, wasn’t he ;] lol jk.

nope, i’m based there for work atm as the vodafone head office is there (currently on a project for VF). managed to drag myself to the gym at lunch & i had a delish oriental salad at the blackbird cafe for dinner today, hoooooray for healthy us! 😀 let’s just hope the motivation sticks haha.

mmmmmm well i have work (boo!) so dinner it is for my actual birthday. however i will be having a couple of dinners and a lunch for my birthday too, if that helps any with the culling of selection! hee.

in terms of food, i like dessert ;9 lol other than that, i’m not really fussed. i was thinking of something around darling harbour/king st wharf, but if you can think of anything fantastic at all would be great!

Heheh he really wasn’t! 😛
Actually he doesn’t tend to read my LJ much.. he finds it boring I guess ‘cos he’s with me all the time anyway 😉

Hmmm food, Kobe Jones is always a winner, as is Iceberg of Billy Kwong – they’re all pretty famous. Kobe Jones in particular is at King St Wharf and is THE BEST FOOD EVER!!!! So I 100% recommend that 😀

fantabulous! it’s been a busy, busy, busy weekend, but I managed to squeeze in time to book a table for 5 tonight at kobe jones 🙂 any particular recommendations for the menu? i’m so excited to try it out!

Eeeeee!!!!!!!!!

You MUST order from the Specials section.. ignore the main courses – they’re massive so you can only get 1, and not really that interesting/unique

The Specials has a soft shelled crab that is superb – you can’t miss it. Their mushroom risotto (they call it something different though) is also amazing, and their Volcano sushi roll is a MUST HAVE! All the other specials are also fab 😀

Ask for the blonde short-haired waiter, he’s super nice!

I too am launching a new diet and exercise regimen for myself. I need to lose 30# by April – that’s what I put on while finishing college. Good luck to us both! Although, I can’t really say I can see that you need it!

interesting leech story…cute ring, but an even sweeter bf should have gotten you the matching necklace as well! hee hee…is tiffany cheaper in AU?

Haha nah, we already spent the day celebrating with tons of lovely food and massages and shopping, that was enough 😉

Tiffany’s more expensive here 🙁

I know everyone’s already said it, but I must say… That ring is so pretty! The heart is adorable, and it looks gorgeous on your hand! I’m such a sucker for the Tiffany’s bag and box- I would probably keep those around forever and enjoy them almost as much as the ring, hehe!
I’ve fallen in love with this Tiffany’s ring… ummm, for the far, far future when I get engaged. (Which, I suppose, would require that I first meet a boy. So, like I said, the far, far future.)

I’ve never seen a leech before, but I’m generally opposed to any creature that would latch onto me and suck my blood.

I’m sorry to hear that your parents have left. I’m sure that you’ll miss them. I know that I’ll go crazy missing my family when I move from Florida next year.

Haha yeah, I like the packaging as much as the ring! A tiffany engagement ring would be to-die-for, I agree 🙂

It’s weird that my parents have left.. after 5 weeks I got used to always having people in the house! Well, i’ll be back in Singapore in a month, so not too bad 🙂

The ring is so pretty (I love tiffany’s…I have 2 of their fabulous silver bracelets!) and the food looks soooooo good! The leech thing was just ucky! oh man…. ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww…

I reaaaaally like Tiffany too, it’s by far my fave jewellery store 😀

Hehe the leech was quite fascinating, and quite cute and wiggly!

It was really sweet of Chris to get it for me.. we normally don’t do much in terms of presents, so it was really special to me 🙂

SO DOES MINE!!! Haha, I thought I was the only weirdo, I get all flustered and excited when someone posts in the fashion community with a Tiffany box as a teaser.. hehe 😛

u’re kidding about the 4 bowls of rice right? 2 i can manage but 4?! *gasps*
the food looks yummy! i shld’ve known you before i went to sydney in july man, then i’ll know exactly where to go for food 🙂
beautiful ring!!!

Lovely ring, Bev! What’s the damage? I’ve just lost my precious sapphire ring 🙁

I was freaked out when I read about the leech thing. Where the heck had it come from???

Btw, four servings of rice is A LOT. I eat a lot but I can only eat one bowl 😛

It was $2k.. i heard about your ring! Oh no! I hope you find it 🙁

Dunno where that leech came from, it was totally bizzare but so fascinating, haha

I can’t wear silver for long too.. esp for earrings, my ears get itchy and infected if I do, eek! Doesn’t stop me though 😛 If I wear silver just during the day it’s ok

wow, you can finish 4 servings?!

anyway, very nice ring! I like Tiffany n Co too! but can’t afford their platinum stuff yet. someday! 🙂

I love your smilies by the way, can I steal? haha.

4 servings is just 4 bowls.. Chris has that too!

And sure, feel free to dload any of the smilies to use on your own LJ 🙂

beautiful ring!!!

That is a really weird (perhaps even scary!) scene to see on a train. I’m glad you and your family were so nice and helped him out 🙂 I don’t think I’ve ever seen a leech in real life before…and I’m glad! Haha.

And I don’t know if you’ve been reading my LJ long enough, but last December I got that same ring for my birthday! 😀 But it was from my parents, hehe. It’s lovely and I wear it everyday. I’m hoping maybe this time around my boyfriend will buy me a ring…but he’s in debt and I wouldn’t want him to dig himself into a deeper hole because of me =\

Leeches aren’t scary.. they just LOOK scary, esp if you’re scared of bloody and gooey wriggly things 😛

Ooo yay, the ring is so pretty huh! But sometimes a lovely meal and a nice day in the park is also all you want with your significant other 🙂

kyoooot icon and couple!! The Tiffany & Co snapshots are drool worthy 😛 Congratulations! And the food looks delicious *daydreams*.

Oh hey I met a Singaporean yesterday night! She was telling me how Singapore has a lot of noodles, indian, and spicy food. The vindaloo made me sweat profusely lol but the singaporean ate it nonchalantly!! I was impressed lol

EEeeeee yes singaporean food is excellent! I NEVER knew how to eat spicy food until I came to Australia, as before that I never ate Singaporean food (even though i lived there) – go figure
