Yeah that was all over the news, it happened a few days ago. The story was that she turned up with her team after opening hours and asked to be let in, but Hermes couldn’t as they were preparing for a PR event on that night.
Then the newspapers cooked up the story about the racism, etc.
Can I just one more time that I love love love that Hermes bag? It is really to die for and I keep looking at it online. Also love your pink top and brown pants. You look good in those colours too.

Hermes bags are expensive because they are all handmade unlike the others which are produced by machine, thus the expensive price tags and long wait. Average wait for a Kelly / Birkin is 3 years now.

Hhehe! I know what you mean.. when I first got into LV, I thought i’d NEVER carry anything with the logo plastered all over the bag.. I thought it was a bit tacky. But now i’ve done a total backflip and like the monogram bags.. maybe I’m just schizophernic 😉

Hermes is insanely upscale, I hadn’t heard of it until I got really into fashion. Their 2 signature items are the Kelly bag and the Birkin bag. Depending on the fabric some of their bags are $10,000+ and even (I think they’ve even had a $20,000 bag).
Last year in the US their was an insane jelly bag crazy started by this company selling a jelly bag version of the Hermes Kelly bag…they were promptly sued. =p But yeah, it’s def. not as widely seen as LV, Dior, etc.

The reason I like Hermes is that it doesn’t scream “designer”.. it’s very subtle, despite being many m any times more expensive than LV/Chanel/etc (they go up to around $50,000, but most are around $5-10k). Basically, most people won’t know you’re carrying an Hermes unless they know and appreciate Hermes themselves.
