i would go to crystal jade for xiao long bao, lavender for wan tan mee..and there’s this place in bukit timah plaza that has really good mee siam

to glam it up, go to the Italian Restaurant (La Cantina or something like that) on the roof top of the new Changi Village Hotel (sounds rural by run by Le Meridien), it offer you a great view of Pulau Ubin, Tekong and Malaysia. Best time to go is 5ish pm, have a sunset drink before digging into nice italian, i mean food πŸ˜›

xiao long bao – crystal jade’s beat ding tai feng!!! *watch the juicessss*

carrot cake – try the one at Bedok hawker centre, where they have the famous bar chor mee, not the one at the central interchange. That hawker centre has the yummiest orh lua, pork porridge, seafood BBQ (the chill’s to die-for!) BBQ chicken wing, bar chor mee, of course…. ALL under ONE roof! πŸ™‚

Welcome home, babe! πŸ˜€

It’s like minced meat noodles with added vinegar. Don’t know if it makes much sense but it tastes really good! You should really try it. I second the Nasi Lemak at Serangoon Road, it’s really near my place and i’m always dine there when i’m back in SG. Gosh, i can’t wait to return home in a month time after my exams πŸ™‚

Don’t worry, just come home and we’ll bring you everywhere! Quick come back! Merv is planning the next menu! Wagyu beef is on the menu!

Hehe must plan so I get to eat EVERYTHING!! I def want Merv’s lamb cutlets… mmmmmmmmmmmmm.. what else do you like best?

Paragon is close to me, think i’ll try that! I actually saw it in dec when I was home.. but didn’t have time to eat there πŸ™

You have xiao long bao in CA? didn’t know that! we dont’ have it here in Australia.. or at least not the good ones πŸ™

Second Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao for the Xiao Long Bao. The wanton/dumpling in chilli oil is good too.

Nasi Lemak, the Changi Village one is yummy! A bit far though.

Seafood Horfun, I’m assuming you’re talking about Wat Tan Hor? There’s a stall in Clementi that does it really well, I can’t remember which coffeeshop it’s at though coz my mum is the one who goes buy it.

Katong Laksa!

As for nasi lemak.. the Pungol Nasi Lemak along upper serangoon road is THE BEST! ;-p

Prawn Mee (hokkien mee)… at chomp chomp (serangoon gardens) – the char kway teow, bbq chicken is really good there too…
