bev, stila is owned by estee lauder companies (as are MAC, prescriptives, clinique, bobbi brown, aveda, origins, estee lauder, plus a number of other brands)…if there is something you’d like me to custom purchase for you at a great discount, i can do so. just let me know within the month (unless EL offers me an full-year internship…i’m waiting for them to let me know). in exchange, i’d love to get my hands on the ltd. edition SG stila palette. let me know πŸ™‚

Oookay! I’m interested in:

STILA #24 double sided illuminating powder brush
STILA lip glaze ‘Creme Bouquet’
STILA lip glaze palette

That’s in order of preference πŸ˜› I probably can’t get all, ‘cos it’ll still be pretty $$ even with your 50% or so discount.. so do you have any opinions on those 3 products? Thanks!

bev, the Creme Bouquet lip glaze is new so it’s not in the employee+company store [read: no discount :(]…however, i can get the palette (US$45) and the brush (US$58). total retail value is about US$114 ($105+8.25% tax), which means i can get it for US$57.

i happen to think that those two items for the price of the brush is a REALLY sweet deal, because not only are you getting three different awesome quality brushes (for powder, concealer, plus lip that comes with palette), you’re also getting 10 different lip glaze shades, with each retailing at about US$24 a pop. the only differences between the regular lip glaze and the ones in the palette are ease of application and amount, but think about it: do you *really* use up all your colors anyway? if you’re most chickies, you have a new “flava of the day/week/month”, and when you find a new fav, you move on.

i’ve never tried the powder/concealer brush specifically, but i do own a couple of their brushes and i happen to really like them. the bristles are soft but firm, and they deposit color very evenly and very well. IMHO, i think the best brushes are from MAC, stila, Vincent Longo, Lorac, and Nars, although Nars is really darn expensive. most of my brushes are MAC and stila, because even without the discount that i get now, they’re pretty affordable. and i’m very picky about my brushes, because i only own one brush for each makeup purpose, and i’ve had the same ones forever.

Ooooh.. do you get a discount on the Demi Creme Liquid Lipcolors? If so, I *definitely* would love ’em! Otherwise the brush and palette would be cool πŸ™‚

I’m pretty picky about my brushes too, and I find that the Stila powder brush is the *best* – soft, dense and just great! Do you have that? I figured this new one that I want to get would be good ‘cos I can use it as a blush brush and the otherside as a highlighting brush or something..

Ahhhhhh!! Can I be your friend? πŸ˜› Hehe seriously though, those are awesome pics and you are so lucky to have the bag and notebook! The palette looks gorgeous, I love the Singapore girl and scene. Thanks for scanning all that in for us!

Heheh really? You should’ve gone up to her and said Hi and scare her, hehe πŸ˜› She probably was the one looking totally confused and overwhelmed – she’s not really into makeup and certainly knows nothing about Stila!

ooooer.. killer haul! I have the minibrush set, the one in the black pouch, right? It’s really nice, but I prefer the Cat Cosmetics mini brush set more, the brushes are more usable for me!

Oooh about the Becca LSC – I have an oily tzone and when I was in Singapore, I used the MUAC Antishine over it first, before the LSC. I found that it really helped the oilies!
