I know I should say monitor, but if there is nothing wrong with your current computer.. then go crazy for the clothes, babe. haha. Don’t tell Chris I am encouraging you to take the less responsible route.. 😀
Actually though, spending money on work clothes is a v.responsible decision.. and you will DEFINTIELY want to look professional at work. I know it sounds stupid, but it matters so much what you look like. Especially in an office environment. When a girl like you who is young, smart.. and super cute comes in, everyone is always eyeing her up and down. You wanna look sleek. Ooooh, I wish I was there to go shopping with you! 🙂 xxoo

Heheh it WOULD be cool if we could go shopping together! You *must* come to Australia sometime 🙂 Or I’ll go to Canada when I actually get enough money 😉
If i get Microsoft though, will definitely spend on clothes cos I need some dress suits and decent stuff.. like you said, don’t want to look like a silly little girl in a totally guy/geeky computing environment :T

Wardrobe of work clothes sounds good actually.
But how much is a flat screen in Australia?
My 19 inch LCD flat screen monitor was maybe $400=$500. If they are about the same in Australia, perhaps you could spend half for the monitor and half for clothes. 😀

My 19 inch LCD flat screen monitor was maybe $400=$500.
is that in Aussie Dollar? As far as I know, 17″ LCD monitors sell for at least AU$750 here. 19″ ones sell for AU$1000++.

OOH. That was US dollars. I have no idea how much that would be in relation to Australian dollars.

Thanks for the info! I think I’ll get a 17″.. would AU$750 be for a really dodgy one or a decent one?

$750++ (less than $800 i guess) is for Samsung Syncmaster 17″ LCD monitor. Now we all know that Samsung makes the best LCD monitors in the market right now. 🙂

Oh that’s not too bad.. that’s AU$800 or less right? I’m also thinking of getting a 15″ cos I saw my friend’s and it doesn’t look that small, plus it’s much cheaper I *think*!

Sorry I meant $1000 Australian, which is like US$700 or something like that? A 19″ for US$500 is GREAT though, you got a really good deal! I’m going to start looking at stores and online stores to see if I can get a good deal, then I can spend part on monitor, part on clothes like you said 😛

Yeah, we got it on our Gateway which I too thought was a pretty good deal. It’s quite nice.
I hope you can get a good deal too! It’d be cool if you got to buy both clothes and a monitor. 🙂

Hehe that’s what I’m hoping now.. maybe $700 on a monitor, $300 on clothes 😀

Quick question 🙂
Beverly ~ do you like sugar lip glosses? I just bought a $15.00 set from sephora and when trying it, I don’t know if I was too excited about how it went on. Do you know of this set / line and do you like them?
Also, I just bought two new eyeshadows by Shu Uhmera and I must say they go on GREAT! Def. to recommend.

Re: Quick question 🙂
I like them ‘cos they taste great – but I don’t like the regular pot ones cos I hate digging my finger into a pot. The “I taste like sugar” 12 piece gloss set is great though! Cute sheer shades and sugary scent/taste 🙂
A friend gave me the gold colored Shu e/s and I gotta agree they’re veeery nice – really soft though, so be careful you don’t drop ’em, someone I know did and they shattered immediately 🙁

Is that the gold eyeshadow you wore recently to a formal or fancy event? I remember you describing a gold eyeshadow to match your dress. I couldn’t remember if that was Shu Uhmera ??
Actually, the set I bought was the $25.00 I taste like sugar. I felt the novelty was a great idea but it is kind of made for younger folks. 🙂

Nah I think I used my Bare Escentuals eyeshadow then.. the Shu one is more a muted dark gold than it is a shiny metallic gold.
The I taste like Sugar set is AWESOME, the best product from the line IMHO!!

Clothes, coz you know you’re gonna wanna get them eventually. May as well get them while the winter sales are on. Plus, after the two months, and possibly another 2 months to save up for a monitor, the LCD monitor you want might be cheaper!!!

Hrmm… *ears perk up* winter sales?! I didn’t know that.. will definitely have to check. I think if I do see stuff I want, then I’ll buy clothes. I’m really picky with clothes! And if I don’t find anything, I’ll get the monitor 🙂

Make sure u shop around.. nowadays you can get one under $800.00 There’s one brand we recently purchased, called AOC, 17″ apparently they normally make LCD for Compaq / HP, now they’re getting into it themselves.
They’re not bad, and had a preety crispy resolution. If you spend alot of time facing ur PC, u should get one !!. They’re not good for games though.

Re: Shop around
yeah will definitely hunt for the best deal 🙂 I’m hoping to get a 15″ at $600 or $700.. then with the additional $300 I can go blow it on clothes 😛

Re: Heres one
Hi “Friend of hartziggity” 😛
Hmm.. is getting a used monitor safe? As in, does it still have a warranty, etc? It’s good to pay less, but I don’t want to be left high and dry if it conks out, y’know?/
