HEY GIRL!!!!!! I’m giving to my temptation and planning on buying both the lb sets!!!! Do you plan on getting the palettes???? Because i was thinking we could order them together in a group maybe get them cheaper?

I wouldn’t be pissed off if someone did that to me, but I’d nonetheless be a bit miffed that they couldn’t at least inform me about it. the annoying thing about the internet is that you can never post anything and have it stay THERE and ONLY there. If there was one thing I could change, it would be a fool-proof way for me to have pictures placed online and not be worried about them being ‘lifted’.
You know… I don’t think it was an issue of *giving credit*. I think it was an issue of courtesy. I would think a polite email asking if it was ok to use the images in the first place, would have resulted in no problem at all. This is of course, only my opinion. I could be wrong 🙂

If I think about it, if I took the effort to take pics of my stash and someone just used the photo, I’d like to at least be notified by them, just for the sake of it. LOL! Thats funny- but since you brought it up I browsed through Ch. 1,2,5, and 7 of U.S.C.A. Title 17 and browsed through some Federal case law and saw nothing that supports your conclusions.
Your reasoning is that Stila owns all rights to private pictures taken by rightful purchasers of products after the purchase of the item.
Please provide an exact cite to which Chapter and Section of Title 17 you are using for this idea.
Do your homework and provide an arguement before you get scarcastic.

I was lazy and did not realise that even though the pic had her name on it, it’s still good form for me to just let her know in a quick email, just out of courtesy. I won’t just post pics randomly in the future unless I inform the person first, so it’s all good now 🙂
But to the anonymous poster – not sure if you know this but the LJ community is pretty anal about anonimity.. it’s simply seen has hiding as many people post negative comments anonymously, which is why you were automatically seen as bashing and made others suspicious. I know you weren’t being hateful but anonymity is often taken into the context of a basher hiding, y’know what I mean?

Your reasoning is that Stila owns all rights to private pictures taken by rightful purchasers of products after the purchase of the item.
Please provide an exact cite to which Chapter and Section of Title 17 you are using for this idea.
Do your homework and provide an arguement before you get scarcastic.

Gah! no fighting please guys… Kanako’s a good friend of mine anyway. I was lazy and did not realise that even though the pic had her name on it, it’s still good form for me to just let her know in a quick email, just out of courtesy. I won’t just post pics randomly in the future unless I inform the person first, so it’s all good now 🙂
But to the anonymous poster – not sure if you know this but the LJ community is pretty anal about anonimity.. it’s simply seen has hiding as many people post negative comments anonymously, which is why you were automatically seen as bashing and made others suspicious. I know you weren’t being hateful but anonymity is often taken into the context of a basher hiding, y’know what I mean?

Yeah, exactly what I was thinking, her name is plastered all over the pics. Plus, its not like people were using the pics on ebay, you know to make a profit. *eye roll*

Cute packaging 😉 I don’t really have pink/purple colors.. but I only want to get it if there are new colors in there and not old ones. Actually I’d prefer to swap for it, but then I assume the lipglazes would’ve been used and I can’t handle the thought of swapping used lipglazes *blech*

And nope, I never swap for Stila palettes.. part of it is the lousy cardboard packaging, the other part is that.. I just don’t see myself using every color.
Collecting palettes is just like hobby, don’t see much use of it. I rather get the colors I want and customize my own palette. =)
And even if the colors are new, I’ll see whether they are useful for my coloring.. so, this is a way to save $$! ;p
Heh I’m the opposite.. I don’t really use “normal” Stila stuff but I’m a sucker for all their palettes and collectibles!
I think I’ll get the Warm set and try and swap for the Cool.. feel a bit wasteful spending US$90 just like that :T
