Haven’t had a chance to update this blog since we left for the USA, but thought being in a hurricane warranted an update 😉
Yep, we got to NYC just when Hurricane Sandy was approaching but managed to beat it to the city. So we got a short window of time to grab supplies and hunker down.
Pretty amazing watching it arrive and being in the “red zone” but just glad we got through it safely (so far). Everything is shut outside so we are stuck indoors the whole time 🙁
Will update properly later, but for now here is a photo off my iPhone, taken just as Hurricane Sandy was blowing into NYC.

So glad you’re safe! I was thinking of you. My sister was in the lower east side so the power was out but they were ok and flew onto Florida yesterday to continue their trip.

Please be safe!! Our head offices in NY have been closed since Monday. Pretty scary seeing the various pictures pop up on Twitter, especially as I’ve been to New York and I know how they are supposed to look.
