This is our family home. It’s particularly cool because it’s right near the city (maybe 5 mins drive?). This is where I grew up, and where my family stayed until we moved to Australia when I was 11 years old. I have very clear and fond memories of my cousin madmoneymonkeyย and I playing here – drawing hop scotch tiles with chalk on the ground by the gazebo (much to Mum’s chagrin)… building ‘obstacle courses’ using furniture and making Dad climb up, down, and around it all (LOL!)… ย running around with my dog Shelly…
It’s being rented out at the moment and is in-between tenancies, so there’s a lot of fixing up and renovations to be done. So it looks pretty boring inside, but I still love the garden outside!
It’s crazy how far we’ve come and how much life has changed since. Funny how I’ve ended up back here in this country, near my childhood home. Never would’ve expected it!
Do you live in or near your childhood home too? Or are you in some far-flung country? ๐
Hunter is really living up to his nick… Marsh mallow man… what a cutie pie
I wished I could say I was living near my childhood home, instead of miles away in Sweden! I think the first two homes where I grew up have been torn down already actually, which is a real pity.
It’s so nice to be able to revisit your childhood home, with Hunter in tow. Must feel like you’ve come one full circle ๐
Yeah, it was quite fun that I could bring Hunter ๐ How life has changed!
Hi Beverly, I live in Sydney (grew up in Adelaide)and have visited Singapore a couple of times to visit my brother who now lives there. The house is lovely, there are so many apartments in Singapore you must have loved having your own garden to play in when you were little. It’s intersting where you end up, my husband grew up in a very small town (4000 people!) on the far east coast of Canada and he ended up in Sydney. On another note Hunter gets cuter by the day ๐
Wow that IS a small town that your husband grew up in! I wonder what that must be like.. to know everyone around you. Sydney must be so diff in comparison, heh
