Finally stumbled on a random post that recommended downloading this http://anchorfree.com/downloads/hotspot-shield/ . It’s free and it WORKS. Everyone in a while you have to click on a pop up to select a type of ad; it just displays an ad on the top bar of the browser but that’s like any other website so you don’t even notice.

Urgh. That’s what I heard about China too. Many sites are blocked and LJ is one of them. I guess login through your corporate vpn is the best way to get around it :\
Our corporate VPN isn’t the sort of VPN that does that.. it just gives us access to our office network!

I know there are some proxy programs, but I can’t find the links right now. Have you tried any proxy websites? s-hhhh.com, anonymouse.pl, anonymouse.org.. they’re slow, but at least you can view the webpages.

I heard of that from a fellow ljer too bout it being blocked in CN.. hope u get rerouted & back again…
