Made a Beef
But back to the point. Their Beef Rendang. We bought the frozen pack and I was a little wary that zapping it in the microwave would make the beef tough. Not so! The beef simply fell apart at the mere poke of a fork, and the flavours were super-strong and delightful. Really delicious Rendang with a generous helping out sauce so you can eat it with plain white rice. We’re definitely going back and getting more of those frozen packs in other dishes, I’m can pop them in the freezer and have it for a quick dinner – it’s honestly one of the nicest, freshest frozen dinners I’ve had (ie. it tastes freshly-cooked).
Anyway, I decided to cook up some Brocollini with Oyster Sauce and Sesame Oil, which took a grand total of about 2 mins. All served with some fluffy white rice and a scattering of crisp-fried onions. Verdict? “Sooooooo good, I’m going to faint”, says Chris.

Jackie M
Thought you might like to know that Jackie M’s restaurant opened a couple of months ago at 85 Majors Bay Rd, Concord. I don’t think there has been much publicity yet, but the Malaysians & Singaporeans seem to be finding it somehow. We are regulars – love the kway teow & nasi kandar! Plus Jackie’s husband Nick makes a mean durian smoothie.

Re: Jackie M
Oh thank you for the tip! But Concord is insanely far from me *cries* I’ll just have to stick with their stall at Chatswood on Thurs nights!

I love Beef Rendang ! Hopefully tomorrow I get to eat alot at Hari Raya house-visits =)
It’s soooooooooooo much cheaper in SG, you’re so lucky!!
I love Beef Rendang! My parents had a takeaway and they used to make it, so I used to be able to eat it when I worked and I’d heap it up with lots of chilli! (We had to make it a bit less hot to make it more palatable for most customers) Sadly now I never eat it anymore, because the stuff in the food court near me is not as good (and I don’t order it at restaurants because usually nobody else wants it)! I could just ask my dad to make it cos I’m sure he still knows how, but I think I was the only one that really liked it!
Ooooo lucky! I find it’s SO difficult to make, mine turned out all hard and yuck last time I made it :X
looks good babe! YUMS!
It was sooooooo tasty, but thank goodness there was quite a bit of rice and the veg, as the rendang had such a strong flavour
i lurb rendang! SLURPS!
