If you (or your kids) are a bit of a princess and find it just too hot and sweaty at outdoor amusement parks, then you are gonna want to make a beeline straaaaaight down to….. Pororo Park Singapore!

It’s, surprisingly, located within Marina Square Mall, so I anticipated it to be really tiny and squished. Not so. Think of those indoor play gyms in Singapore – ON STEROIDS – and that’s pretty much what Pororo Park is.

 

My kids don’t watch TV shows, so they were unfamiliar with Pororo. A few days before we rocked up for the opening, I let them watch some episodes on YouTube.

They. Were. Hooked.

There’s something really adorable about Korean kids TV shows, and Pororo is unisex so it appeals to both boys and girls. My kids declared Pororo their favourite – no surprises there.

So when I told them I was giving them a surprise and we walked up to Pororo Park, they *SQUEALED* when they saw the massive characters looming up at us and ran straight there like the crazy kids they are!

 

Pororo Park is a socks only zone. Love this, as it means the area is really clean. You can buy cute Pororo themed socks if you forget to bring your own. The larger-than-life characters came out to greet us. Thought the kids would be a bit alarmed – but nope – they ran straight up for high fives.

There’s a section near the entrance which has these little bug cars for kids to ride on. You twist the handles and it moves forward with your inertia – pretty cool. My kids loved this bit and kept running back for another go!

 

Three words: EPIC. BALL. PIT.

This was the first thing Carter dived into with great gusto, hence why no other kid is in there (they weren’t as fast as this speed demon!) and why the adults are taking photos of him in amusement. The area is so nice and bright with large full length glass windows, and I really like how chic the ball pit looks (as compared to the rainbow ball ones).

 

One area was dedicated to an indoor play gym, similar to those in lots of malls here. So you get pretty good bang for your buck here, since you get this play gym and a whole bunch of other stuff to do at Pororo Park.

 

…..like this train ride. It’s really basic – just goes round in a circle – but is infinitely adorable and enough to make any train-mad kid go WOW! Which mine did. Both of them had so many rides on this train – they absolutely loved it.

 

There’s also a real life version of Pororo’s house. I haven’t watched the cartoons, but both kids were stoked and declared it “exactly the same”. It’s not that interesting inside, though, so will only take a min or two to check it out. I reckon they should pop a TV in there and some soft cushions for kids to watch Pororo episodes.

“NO”, he said, giving me the my-mum-is-such-a-nut look. “I’m not having a bath now. I have all my clothes on!”

 

There’s also a theatre, for a real life Pororo show. It’s a 20 min musical with lots of singing and dancing. The theme is “Eat your veggies” – haha. Carter was the only kid that yelled out enthusiastically “YUM! I LOVE veggies!”

There is a Cafe located within the area, so you can have a coffee, snacks, and lunch there too. Check out this cute Pororo juice bottle! Oh, and there is a Pororo merchandise shop – DANGER WARNING DANGER – your money will suddenly disappear if your kids step foot in there. Mine did 😉

 

I tried to take a nice photo of us against this massive mural, but Carter was having none of it and ran off to play, and Hunter… well…. see for yourself.

 

You’ll find Pororo Park Singapore in the new retail wing of Marina Square Mall. It’s brand new, so everything is lovely and clean, which means it’s really worth going now! It’s really good for little kids and toddlers, and even better if you’re a SAHM – park your kid there and sit in the cafe and watch whilst they play. It’s a great concept. Singapore should have more of these indoor amusement parks!
