I love you tiao!!!!!!! OMG… I crave it!! We used to have it with this soy drink – not soy milk, much yummier version. It’s called ‘dou jiang’ in Chinese, I think it roughly translates to soy syrup? I don’t know, something like that, it has a thicker consistency than soy milk and it’s sweet and yummy. We would dip the you tiao in it (when the you tiao is still hot but the dou jiang is cold), such a delicious breakfast!! I miss authentic chinese food… *sigh*
it’s TOTALLY unavailble in AU, as far as I know.. I miss it so much π
I think I know of that soy drink you’re talking about.. yum!
i love island creamery too (and my favourite flavour is teh tarik).
i think singaporeans manage to stay skinny also because we don’t actually eat hawker food every day. at least i don’t know many people who do π‘
also, our kind of skinny-ness isn’t very healthy as it’s not as though we have lean mean bodies but skinny flabby ones. haha.
Ooo… i’m eating hawker food every day *oops*
But yeah, people that eat at home do have healthy food..
well you’re excused since you’re back only for short periods π i would totally do the same if i were you…
If you like chocolate ice cream, you have to try the one from Awfully Chocolate (there’s one near Serene Centre). It’s not cheap (think around $13 for a small tub) but sooooo good. Really rich and decadent.
Ooo I wonder if my cousin’s tried it, she’s a real chocoholic!

I almost always pass by there once a week, and yes, I love Island Creamery. I even have the number stored on my mobile.

“It shocks me that Singaporeans are so unhealthy, yet are so friggin’ skinny”
