Where is that candy shop in sydney that sells all the foreign lollies?
There’s one at Wahringah Mall.. and the one in the pic is at Castlehill shopping centre!
Just a question Bev,

Waiting like that is bad – but its kind of almost not so bad if the food is spectacular….but man, its bad to wait a long time so-so expensive food.
sucks.
I’m really impatient, I can’t wait long for food or I get grumpy… heh

By far the best Thai restaurant that I’ve had in Sydney would be ‘Spice I Am’ in Surry Hills. Very close to the city. Great tom yum goong, spicy fried rice, pad kee mow (similar to fried kway teow) and jungle curry.. slurp slurp…:)~
The downsides are the place & the portions are a bit small.. it’s also very packed with people, even on weeknights.
Oooo it sounds nice! I like Thai food, my favourite’s pad thai. A good pad thai done well is just scrumptions :)~
Ick, that’s terrible! I can see from the photos how similar the dishes look and how small the servings are. I’d feel better if they tasted good, but like you said, they tasted the same. You had every right to complain! At least they tried to make up for it, but IMHO, not worth your money.
At first I thought the 2-plates-per-dish deal was a joke.. I thought they’d bring out more later. But when we asked, they said, “that’s it”. It was INSANE, there was not enough meat that we could have one each!! I’m so disgusted with the place ;(
the food pics don’t seem to call out to me.. which is something to take note of..cos most of the time the pics u take.. always make me wanna go to sydney and just spend time binge eating!!!!!!!!!
Yeah π It was just kinda normal.. I could have cooked it myself! Well, at least I know never to go there and spend $$ again π
man..what a rip off. the stir fried dishes all looked the same..and there isnt any ‘spectacular’ dish like a steam fish tomyam style or something..totally not worth it.
oh…i like the blouse u’re wearing! love the color and material!
Exactly! it was so standard, any dodgy ‘ol Thai place could do the same (or better). Sad.
It’s a silk Alannah hill top! It’s really fitted and nice, I really like it.. bought it on eBay π
The dishes do look like they all taste the same! Hoho! π
I know *sulks* I hate being ripped off!!
I don’t like paying for over-priced *mediocre* food! >_< !!! I think sometimes those hole in the wall type restaurants serve the best tasting food at the best prices. Just my opinion...hehe. :D
I HATE that “ripped off” feeling.. it makes me so mad! But at least I know never to go back. And yeah, I prefer the cheap nasty places – they serve bettter food most of the time π
If you use your blog as a Gourmet Guide to Sydney, I will never go hungry !!!
Btw, sweetie, do you get to vote in Aust ?
oh, 4 of the dishes look just like Veg Dishes with minimal variation, and $50 for that kinda food is daylight robbery !!!
I know… it was so disappointing, like eating the same thing over and over. I’ll NEVER go back!
I’m a PR in Australia and not a citizen, so no, I don’t vote.. just as well!
i think u can cook much better than them ! your post/recipe on the mexican Corn pancake is so yummy !
today in SG we are going to the poll ! stay tune ! hehe
That’s an awful price to pay for stuff that looks like it came out of a mall food court π
YES that’s exactly what it was like!!! Really small portions (ie. I could eat 2 plates, yet it was meant to be 3-4 people per plate).. and nothing spectacular about the food. For that price, I’d expect beautiful presentation and exquisite tastes :X Bah!
LOL do you have to wear extra loose clothing when you go out to eat, Bev? I don’t know how you do it!
I actually either wear a skirt, or wear pants where I can unbutton the top button π My stomach really expands when I eat, so i have to!
Wow, that was an unfortunate dining experience. Well, at least they did try to compensate.
Yeah, it was definitely a plus they then gave us heaps of food.. but even so, it wasn’t worth the price as the food was so… common and normal :X Ah well!
