I know how it feels to wake up the next day and really regret the behavior that one exhibited the previous day. Bev, don’t worry, it was a horrible experience for you and you were all alone, tired, stresed out and unable to control the situation. Next time you could get a phone card and call people and freak out on the phone. I buy my minutes from http://www.pincity.com it’s to call within the US and from US to other countries. And you pay online and they give you a toll free number and also an PIN number. That way you don’t have to dig for coins to call people. And you can also call Chris that way too.
I wish I’d know that!! I ddin’t bring my mobile phone with me, next time I definitely wlil and get a prepaid – thanks for the tip π
Actually http://www.pincity.com is just like a long distance calling card. You get the toll free number or the local number from the website and also your PIN number when you sign up and you can pay by credit card on line. That way, you can call anywhere in the world and anywhere in the US from a public phone or from a hotel phone. Some hotel phones do charge a small fee for a toll free number though. So if you’re calling your mum in Singapore, you could buy the minutes from pincity and dial the toll free number, key in PIN number and then the phone number. From US to Singapore, dial- 011+65+ phone number.
Ohhhhh that makes sense! But I can just use a public phone and pay with my credit card, or just use the hotel phone right?
I need to find a way to make my mobile phone work in the US :X Unfortunately I’m on pre-paid, which I don’t think comes with global roaming!
Well basically how pincity works is that you sign up online and pay by credit card (e.g. $20) and so whenever you make a phone call (e.g. from public phone or hotel phone or someone’s cell), you can just call the toll free pincity number and key in your PIN number and phone number and they’ll let you know how many minutes you can talk to that certain phone number. So that way you don’t have to incur high phone bills using the hotel phone and won’t have to dig in your pocket for coins when making phone calls from public phones. Plus the long distance and international call rates from pincity are very low.
I like the idea of not looking for coins when I make calls! Thanks for the tip π Think I’ll have to get that next time I’m in the States!

It sounded like that cult TV series LOST! The delay, destination LA, Fiji, Sydney airport.. Whoa. What’s with me and my tv/movie quotes. -_-
I sat with my back straighter than usual and peered at the monitor reading your entry. I guess your entries always sound happy, I forgot you do have bad days as well. =/
Anyway, I hope you feel much much better now. -hugs-
Yeah, a polar bear might pop out any minute, hee!!
Stuff normally doesn’t get me down/upset.. but I really do flip out when it does :X
Let bygones be bygones hon π
Glad you made it though… it’s understandable that you broke down out of frustration, tireness and anger… we’ve all been through that. Enjoy your stay, shop more!!!!
Yes, I’ll pretend it never happened π Plus had a great day out shopping today!
