I remember getting that book as some gift(everyone in school got it) like a yr or so back and everyone was super amused by stuff inside.
Maybe ‘cos it was about ourselves.
Haha yeah.. i think only a SG’ean would find if funny.. everyone else would be like “eh???”
Hehe.

i love being singaporean. ;p i think the fact that i’m studying overseas makes me sort of like singapore for what it is rather than bemoan all the things wrong with it. π and the food is always good!
bev, i really like reading your entries and although i don’t comment much, i hope i can stay on your friends list and continue reading them!
Yes that’s exactly how I feel! I used to not be very interested in SG.. and now I just love it π
Hey thanks for letting me know, will keep you on my list!

well, there’s always a positive way of seeing things. i’m proud to be a singaporean! we’re unique in our ways leh. π
these are very interesting points you put up. it’s all so true but we’re so used to it that we didn’t realise we’re like that.
I never really noticed most of the points either until I’ve lived overseas.. and suddenly what I didn’t like before becomes endearing, and what I never noticed before becomes special!
It sounds like a lot of fun being Singaporean.
The U.S. is large. There is a lot of diversity. Probably what is most common from border to border in the U.S. is that we have a lot of priviledges. And we think others should have a lot of priviledges.
Yeah SG’s pretty similar π Everyone’s bilingual, many are trilinguil and the entire country is a total mix of various races and cultures.. you won’t find a suburb with just one type of people, I love that
Lol, the food part is SO true…it’s the norm! π
Haha yeah almost every SG’ean I know are total foodaholics !
I think that when it comes to these attacks, the point is not to kill people but to prove that they can shut down a city and create chaos. They could have placed the bombs elsewhere if they really wanted to kill a maximum of people. After the attacks the whole transport system stopped worked, shops closed, all theatre cancelled their performances,… London was a ghost town last night.
True.. but then the country just picks itself up and the people grow stronger, so defeats the purpose :X
Plus, what if we decided to retailiate to also prove that we can shut down cities.. could do it 10 times worse to the terrorists, technically π
Yeah, I’m proud to be a Singaporean, though we are only an island. I love it here because we are multi-cultural, multi-national and of course the variety of food we have here. =P
Yeah I totally agree… though I like the food part best π
