HOMEMADE FRENCH TOAST SERVED WITH BLUEBERRY COULIS 21 November 2011
I really like French Toast but it’s often pretty pricey at brunch-type places.. not to mention I know the ingredients to make it cos mere pennies to buy. Plus, you just throw everything into a bowl, dunk bread in, and fry! And I mean, literally.
A nice, comfort-food breakfast that’s easy to whip up for the family. And costs helluva lot cheaper than ordering it in a restaurant!!
Your French Toast sounds a lot healthier than Merrill’s. His has a ton of sugar in it. Lol!
LOL! But once you put the blueberry coulis or maple syrup, you don’t need added sugar in the toast cos it’s already sooo sweet
Yeah he puts heaps of sugar coz we don’t have it with any syrup. Usually just fresh berries and a light dusting of icing sugar over it for looks.
Now that looks so tasty. By the way Hunter is getting to be a big boy, we like watching him in his video clips.
Thanks Ron!
I’ve that toffee nut syrup too! Have you tried using it in any baking recipes? I’m curious to see if it can be implemented into a cake recipe.. I’ve only baked twice in my entire life, so I’m kinda unsure..
I haven’t but I don’t think it would be good cos it’s so concentrated! Try using pure maple syrup instead.. yum 🙂
I didn’t know you needed flour to make french toast! No wonder mine always fall flat! HAHA! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Well you don’t NEED it, but it makes it better IMHO 🙂
How do u make the coulis? The French toast looks so yummy!
Hi Beverly, on a totally different subject, can I send you an email on advice og buying a Balenciaga bag? Please let me know your email address if it is ok. Thank you.
Hi Lisa – you sure can, but just so you know I don’t authenticate or offer advice on authenticity. You can contact me on the Contact link up the very top!
