Attend our 2nd Cookyn With Mervyn class the next day after our wedding. OK come to think of it, it was this that was our first married-couple activity together, not the Nine Inch Nails concert 😛 The reason these “cooking parties” are so fun is because it lets you hang out with friends and gives you something else to do besides just going out for dinner and drinks. Plus, you get to eat your own creations… so it’s like all the best social stuff all rolled into one 😉
The theme for this one was Singapore National Day, because… it was! But instead of regular Singaporean dishes, they had a gourmet kick to them. Tres fun 🙂 Unfortunately, no Char Kway Teow for Chris – bwahahha! My favourite dish, by far, was the “or luak” (omelette with Canadian oysters) – I’m a huge oyster fan and loved the massive, luscious oysters…mmmm…. Happily, we were stuffed to the brim after the class.. and also merry on wine, haha.
It was hella fun having our Aussie friends in the class.. all of whom had never attended before. w00t!!
