So for the past 2 weeks or so, we’ve been hit with this weird FREEZING weather. Sydney normally is wonderful – even in winter, it’s still fairly mild and comfortable. But not so recently. It’s been frosty, freezing and all-round awful! Lots of rain, wild winds and just bone-chilling temperatures that we’re all not used to. Everyone’s been complaining and it even makes the news every day – apparently “the coldest it’s been in 20 years” or something like that. Bleh :X Worse yet, I’m allergic to wool – any kind of wool – and I hate looking like a big fat pig so I don’t tend to pile on the layers.. which means I’m always cold 🙁
Welp, I bought a wool Paul Frank coat! Yes, it’s wool, I know.. but it’s lined (with the cuuuuutest rainbow Paul Frank lining!) so it’s alright with my skin. Other wool coats are lined too but they tend to become really bulky – I like how this one isn’t too chunky/fat looking. It’s a very normal dark gray, so I can wear it with anything.. and it has the cutest toggle button thingys! Very fun to fiddle with 😉 The hood also comes in handy when it’s windy or raining. Oh, and did I mention the lining is sooooooooooooo cute!! There was only ONE left in the store and it was in my size, which is already a sign in itself. Then, I discovered it was on sale from almost $300 down to $110. Wheeeeee! Great deal on a lovely wool coat. So now I am toasty and warm walking to/from work 🙂

didn’t know PF made a jacket! love the lining, very cute! unfortunately that jacket won’t be warm enough for our harsh Canadian winter :(. How cold is it over there now?
Hmm not sure, just a fitted vest I guess.. it goes really well over a thin long-sleeved top! Very warm 🙂
Yeah I thought PF just made pajamas and cute accessories… heh. It goes down to about 5 degrees here *brrrrr*
5 degree C? ohh mannn, I wish our winter is like that.. last winter the temp was dropped close to -30 degree C 🙁 🙁
it took me a minute to remember that it’s winter down there!
i had forgotten. it’s so effing hot in the southeastern US that i might want to trade places, though.
i love coats, jackets, sweaters, etc.
I’m definitely not a winter person, it just makes me miserable :X Bring on the hot weather that you have!! Lucky you!

The best thing about winter here, is that EVERYONE looks like a big fat pig! 🙂
Hahah well i guess there’s no choice! Here it’s normally still pretty mild so you can get away with a tee and a warm jumper/jacket.. hence why I don’t like wearing lots of layers now, just not used to it :X
