Went with some friends to Little Siam Thai restaurant, my first time there but they recommended it since they live in the area. The interior is so cosy and decorative.. except not in Thai style! Haha! I think it must’ve been a former pub or something, as it had lots of wooden wheels and wooden barrels as part of the decor. Still, it made for nice ambience π The service was really prompt and food came quickly.. very good since we were hungry.
The BBQ Neur (Salad of BBQ beef fillet in special marinated sauce served with Thai spicy sauce) would normally be a choice of mine, but someone else chose it so I gave it a go. It was delish! There was lots of beef and the sauce was slightly spicy and sour and sweet. TheMussaman Curry (Mild curry of Indian influence cooked with coconut milk, potato, onion and nuts) was my pick – my favourite kind of curry π It’s sweet and creamy and the beef chunks just melt in the mouth.. soooooo divine! Definitely my favourite dish there. Also had the Pla Sam Rod (Deep fried fish fillet on ruby sauce, combined with hot, sour and sweet flavours) which, put simply, was deep fried fish in Thai sweet chilli sauce. The fish was soft and they were really generous with their portion.
It made a nice, quick dinner.. but considering it’s not a posh restaurant, the prices are really steep IMHO. They’d be perfect if every dish was $10.
