I sold my old iPod white Nano on eBay for AU$200, and bought a brand new iPod pink Nano also on eBay for AU$220.. they retail AU$299 😀 I was surprised that the new pink Nanos are actually smaller and sleeker, I thought they were the same size. The smooth metallic feels awesome and the pink just makes me grin 😛 And it matches my bag perfectly, haha!

Better yet, I also got The Sims 2. Anyone play it? I randomly decided to get it after someone mentioned that they thought I’d love it. I do! It’s addictive and fun 😛 But I only started playing it last night and I’m not really sure what I’m doing yet.. time goes by too quickly in the Sim world and there’s just not enough time to get everything done. Ack!

Bev, are you pressing Ctrl-Shift-C while you’re on a lot playing a family? It should come up with a bar across the top of the screen where you can type the cheat and press ‘enter’.
Don’t worry about your Sims addiction…. you’ll soon get so annoyed with it you never want to touch it again and it’ll leave you rocking in your chair 😛

What I love about my Sims is that when their need bars go really low, I usually leave them alone for a while to let them do their own things, they usually get the bars up themselves 🙂 If not, I nudge them in the right direction

Sorry, I just happened to be LJ surfing (I do random things like that all the time) and I was reading your post and when you said Sims 2, I can’t resist, I must comment. XD
The game is great stuff. 8) You can customize your sets and characters and you can create stories, pictures, even movies. (All those links lead to stuff I’d created with my own game but you can browse around and explore different links and see other players’ awesome stuff too! 8D ) I have all the expansion packs and I would recommend getting Nightlife because, with it, your Sims can go on dates and outings and do romantic stuff. XD You also get vampires with Nightlife. =3
There is a LJ community called which you might want to check out if you have time to kill. And MTS2 is the place to get custom content to make your game that much more exciting and beautiful to play. =)
Seasons, which is the latest expansion pack, is due out in a week. It will give your game, er, seasons! Your Sims can plant fruit trees in spring, go fishing and catch fireflies in summer, harvest tomatoes in autumn, build snowmen and have snowball fights in winter… I can’t wait. 8D

I’m still a newbie and very slow, so still trying to figure out how to always keep their Needs up, they keep going down so quickly, grr! Don’t worry, you’ll get used to how fast the time goes (tip – your Sim kids don’t need to eat breakfast before school unless their hunger bar is very close to red. They automatically feed them while they’re at school.)

I think you need to be using the ‘latest’ expansion pack CD to be able to access all the other expansion packs.
I just got the Sims 2 before Christmas and wasted a whole lot of hours over the holidays playing it! But yeah I couldn’t handle how overwhelming it all is just trying to keep the bars up high, let alone going to work, achieving aspirations etc. I ended up cheating haha :I

You can bring up the cheat panel when you’re playing a Sims family.

I used to be really into the original Sims, and was super excited about Sims 2. I tried it and maybe I’m tired of the game, but it didn’t grab my attention as well as the original did. Still lots of fun though. A new Sims came out (Life Stories or something) and it looks interesting so I might try that!

The eBay seller wasn’t a wholesaler or anything, it was a one-off sale. There are loads of Videos on there right now though, so you should be able to find a pretty good deal!
