Cargo Bar is a favourite haunt – it’s on the water, open-air to soak in the sunshine, and is just a nice place to hang out for after-work drinks. Our team hit Cargo for some lunch, which I initially wasn’t too fussed about – I’d heard the pizzas were small for their price and not particularly wonderful. Was appropriately delighted when I found out they had a proper menu with a nice selection of food. Hurray! It was beautiful and sunny and not too crowded, so we enjoyed our lunch over a few drinks and had a great time.

The Hand Cut Potato Wedges with sour cream & sweet chilli were divine – all crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The unfortunate thing was that they were too good, which meant I tried to chow down on the whole bowl.. which then translated into a very sore throat for the rest of the day :X At least it was worth it! Also shared a dozen Black Label Oysters with lemon which were chilled, fresh and lovely. I ate some of everyone’s food, but my main was Original Baby Back Ribs basted with house barbecue sauce, coleslaw and wedges, which I selected because I’ll never say no to a good ‘ol plate of meat :)~ It was a really big meal, and came with a ridiculous amount of potato wedges. The ribs were really meaty and tasty, but weren’t as melty soft as other ribs I’ve had before. Had some Stella beer with the meal and finished it all off with a Mocha – made to perfection.
