You should get the new shuffle! It’s really cute 🙂 It’ll be great for jogging since it’s so small.

– Regular (video) iPod in multiple colours, and up to 100GB.
People want to want things. All Apple needs to do is give them the slightest reason to, and then spin it so that it looks like a major feature.
the new shuffle is miniscule! i can see it clipped to my collar now.. oh yes!
but i’d stick with my 2nd gen ipod mini for now..
at least till they decide to revive it with an injection of colours for its dull screen. 🙂

Are these the main changes? I did notice 8GB emphasised, so I’ll assume that’s new, too.
Anyway, my point is, Apple have a genius marketing team. This is a product with some very slight changes introduced (in some cases, probably not even noticable changes) and they’re able to make people want them.

Mine is lucky to do about 5 or 6 hours!!!! 🙁

They say “up to 24 hours”. It’s more marketing talk. It’ll probably be better than 5 – 6 hours, but it won’t really do 24 hours.
Batteries tend to get worse over time, and the time that a single charge lasts depends on how you’re using the device.
To put things in perspective, if you look at their “iPod comparison” page, they list every iPod as having a battery that lasts at least “up to 12 hours”…
To be honest, i think it’s mostly the colours that will make people want to buy a new one.. and that’s the genius of their marketing – and so annoying! 😉
