Sometimes a change of pace makes you realize how much you love where you’re at, no? I love the photos… the little koala guy looks so cute resting his head in between the branches like that. o.O

P.S. You and Chris are adorable together, as always!

driving?

so who wears the pants and does the driving, bev? you or chris? πŸ˜€ i am a firm believer in making the men drive. that’s what I do anyway, when I go away with the boy. I hang out the window and take photos and have total control of the cd player! lol.

Looking at your entry reminds me of my trip to Cooper Pedy some years back. It was just a teeny weeny quiet small-populated small town. And yes, nothing much to do except of course, Cooper Pedy is a mine, so there’s more activity but yah, seems like Australia has lots of such towns.

I think it’s a good place to go to once in a while, just to get away from it all.

Oh I’ve heard of that town! One of my colleagues used to live there.. they live underground right. And pretty quiet too πŸ˜›

Yes, really really quiet (or dead). But I like it there, just for the quietness. And yes, they live underground, which is really cool (as in vs warm) and there’s no need for air conditioning. And very very very silent, and dark. So it’s really conducive for a good night’s sleep. Think city life lacks that quietness.

I agree about being able to get away it all in Aus. That’s what made me fall in love with Aus when I went there. In sg, where can we go? Sentosa? That’s more play than anything.

I think I might get spooked if it’s TOO quiet.. Hawkesbury was already starting to freak me out with all the laid back locals πŸ˜›

I think that’s why SG’eans love visiting Australia! But I just adore SG because it’s just bustling and crazy, the way i like it πŸ™‚

O my goodness…it’s SO PRETTY & RELAXING…makes me miss a good outdoor date so bad. :T

You two look really happy, yay! Glad you’d a great holiday, and the flowers are beautiful~! :DDD

That’s what I prefer about AU to SG.. being able to just escape city life once in awhile! It was only a short trip, but worth it πŸ™‚

Welcome back, happy Easter, glad you had fun!

The animal photos were first rate, some of your finest photos ever in this journal. I am so jealous of the kangaroo contact you had! The Albino one was adorable.

I am surprised Misty has no interest in the flowers. I would have expected them to be knocked over and/or chewed/nibbled on. Perhaps in the future as many pets are naughty with plants…

Thanks! I’m really happy with how the pics turned out.. and really glad I remembered to take photos through the day πŸ˜›

Heh the flowers are on the table, she’d chew them otherwise!

awwww poor chris he looks so let down…like a little kid whose momma told him there would be roller coasters where they were going and all they had was a trolley..*lol* but it looks like you had a nice time being together at least!

for the lilies, if you don’t want the orange pollen to stain your table or the petals – cut off the orange tips. everything looks awesome bev! πŸ™‚

Beverly, girl you really know how to sum up the whole experience through pictures. I loved the pics really really do. One day when I’m home, I’ll do the whole Australia Tourism thing once again. Sometimes I forget how lovely it is down there… but I thank you for jolting my memory…!!! HUGS!!!!!!!

πŸ™‚ It’s definitely different from the city! And that’s great, ‘cos it’s wonderful how you can totally “get away” from city life and it’s only 1-2 hours away.. can’t wait for you to be back πŸ™‚

Aww, I wanna visit Australia so bad. It looks absolutely beautiful. Although, I would go mad if I wasn’t in the city for so long. Glad you had fun.

Who took care of Misty when you were gone? Or are ferrets like cats that can take care of themselves somewhat (ie. leave food out and they’ll eat whenever they’re ready)?

The stargazers are sooooo beautiful! I so need to buy me some lilies. But I doubt they’re in season over here yet.

Australia IS really nice.. funny how it’s so different just 1-2hrs from the city though!

I left food/water for Misty and she was fine – yeah they’re like cats/mice/etc that they’ll just eat when they need to. The only problem was that she’d get lonely, so 2 nights was the max I wanted to be away for..
