I’ve always wanted to buy stuff on ebay but i never do.. just browse. Is it safe? i’m always scared i’ll pay tons for something and have it sent to me broken. How does it work anyway?

I buy HEAPS of stuff on eBay.. have done so for quite a few years and out of about 400-500 transactions, I’d say less than a handful have gone wrong – and the ones that did go wrong were later resolved or I got the seller kicked off, etc..
Basically, make sure that the seller has a good feedback rating – that helps a lot. Start by buying a smaller-value item so you get the hang of it, especially if you’re worried about buying expensive stuff online when you first get started. eBay’s really addictive and so much fun!

USD.. so a little under AU$3! But then I had to pay US$13 for shipping. Argh. But since Hush Puppies retail here for about US$60-80, it still ends up being a good deal.
