I went through the same thing. After graduation and being gainfully employed felt I didn’t know enough/offer enough. BUT! The company does pick up the bill for continuing education/refresher courses/college etc. I did get a 2nd degree with the help of the company. Dang it, should have gone for the Master’s program, huh?!
Hope all is well!!
Re: Hello! r/o
LOL well true.. at least this time I’m learing and getting paid for it, so that’s the bright side π
Yeah you should’ve done Masters and your PhD!

I went through that phase before.
We still have to ask until we are clear and know everything! Then we can talk on the same level as them! ;P
I know… but I hate asking so many questions since it probably disrupts them, and it’s annoying if it’s a dumb question :X I just need to break out the textbooks!
Maybe u can ask Chris? ;p
Heh, I hassle the poor guy enough π

I’m doing Relational Databases now, and I hate it!
It’s a drag doing the stuff at Uni.. but trust me, it because SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO helpful once you start work, especially if the work you do has something to do with databases. So listen and absorb lots in class π
Yup…that sounds familar
Yes, I’m all too familar with that feeling. It makes u sad and frustrated, with no absolute sense ever. I remember doing OOP and it totally overwhelmed me, though I kicked ass in DB. But guess what, OOP was so much more important during my studies that I felt I was sinking down to a pool of crap.
Re: Yup…that sounds familar
Totally agree.. it’s kind of frustrating, and then you get frustrated for being frustrated, and it just goes downhill from there! Give me your DB brain π
Re: Yup…that sounds familar
And I want your AI knowledge!!

That must not feel good…and I hate realising that I just asked a dumb qn. too. But after that, I just laugh at myself, then somehow, things don’t seem that bad. You don’t have to appear smart all the time, you know? It’s a thought that makes me feel liberated, cos’ sometimes, I just want to be a bimbo, haha.
Have fun at Sass & Bide! Shopping is gooooood therapy. π
Yeah, I HATE asking stupid questions.. and you only realise it’s stupid *after* you ask it and hear the answer! I should just go sell makeup π
I understand that feeling – I always feel panicked when I have to get involved with something in work that I have no experience of. But you know what? Look at it as an opportunity to learn something new and soak up all the knowledge you can, even if it means having to ask a lot of questions. Then there’s one less thing on the list of “Things I know nothing about” π
YEah.. it’s scary learning something new.. let alone learning it so you can do your job. It’s just different to learning something for Uni – a lot more expectations are upon you. But yeah, I want to focus on it because this will really help me as I can always use the skills in future jobs, etc!
