you’re not working together every day.. you will enjoy it. plus, when you are in the gym, god knows the costumes / apparrel you will wear to arouse each other… or is that just me and mine??

Goodie!

(Jac) It’s going to be awesome, you both can meet up pretty much anytime you like (within reason, of cos’)! Good luck to him; have fun ‘working’ together! =)

Re: Goodie!

Haha well I don’t think we want to see each other too often anyway – we’ll just get sick of each other πŸ˜‰ But it IS convenient!

Cool beans! It’s good that you don’t spend all day together, ’cause that could be too much, considering you also see each other during off hours.

BTW, since you’re now an official MS employee now, could you possibly help me figure out this problem I’m having with my browser? A few weeks ago I started having an ExitExchange popup ad appear every single time I’d leave a site and visit another–even if the site was my own! Do you know what caused this and/or how I can make it stop?

Yeah, don’t want to see *too* much of each other πŸ™‚

Can you email me a screenshot of the error you’re getting? Hav eyou installed any programs lately? I installed MyWebSearch recently and it keeps randomly giving me popups and irritating the heck out of me ;(

Yeah, there were a few different stupid things I DLed that affected the browser’s configuration…but I’m not sure which one is the culprit that implanted the popunder trigger without my consent. All I know for sure is that I’m going to be more careful what I allow to be installed from now on. = P

Here’s a screenshot. When I go to, say, iWon for example, the home page of the site is loading when the ad suddenly pops under the active window. When I leave iWon and go to another site, the ad usually appears again. It’s driving me crazy!! I’m willing to totally reinstall IE if that’s what it’ll take to be rid of it. Thanks for your help!

Ohhh I see what you mean. It’s not IE that’s been ‘damaged’ and making these popups, so re-installing it probably won’t help. It’s just that these rogue programs most likely put a little bit of code to tell your computer to show popups periodically, which is really annoying ;(

The best thing you can do would be to UNinstall any programs that you’ve recently installed – when was the first time you experienced this error? Try and remember the program(s) you installed then and uninstall them. Worst comes to worst, download a Popup killer online and it’ll zap those stupid popups!

Unfortunately I’m not sure how to uninstall them because they’re not regular programs but are more like plug-ins, in that they are downloaded but never actually seen aside from the effect they have. (I’m not sure whether they really are plug-ins or something else entirely.)

I downloaded a program called Ad Aware that’s supposed to help get rid of spyware and such, but it had no effect on this problem. After making some changes to my configuration, though, I’ve managed to get the ads to decrease drastically, which is a real relief. Thanks for the advice!

You can also click on START then RUN, and try typing in “msconfig” the box. From there, look at the STartup tab.. and you can uncheck programs that you DON’T want loading up in the background πŸ™‚
