Balenciaga, FASHION BALENCIAGA BLUE INDIA CITY 16 September 2012

I may love my handbags.. but nothing beats my Balenciagas. They still come out tops for me, as the perfect daily bag. On the downside, they’ve become really popular in recent years.. especially here in Singapore. Pretty much every second girl carries one! I much preferred it years and years ago when it was pretty much unknown 😛

But anyway, I managed to locate a brand new Balenciaga city in ‘blue india’, a colour I’ve been coveting for awhile. It’s a muted soft turquoise, in chevre (goat) leather that’s oh-so-luscious!! It smells delicious, and is ultra smooshy and slouchy – exactly the reason why I love Balenciaga bags so much.

I love the size of the City bag, and the regular pewter hardware (the giant hardware versions all look so fake-bag to me!). The soft tassels give me infinite pleasure because fiddly-fingers me can fiddle with them alllll day long 😉

Fortunately, this acquisition now means that I don’t need or want to buy any more Balenciaga bags. OK, with maybe the new Balenciaga mini-city as the exception, because how cute is it?!?!

Mmm….. Balenciaga leather..

Sexy butt

Hand carried. Love how slouchy it is!

Fits perfectly over the shoulder too

Can also be carried via the long strap

Hunter insisted on taking my photo.. as you can see, he kinda missed getting the Balenciaga into the photo. FAIL 😉

See? Carter approves of Balenciaga bags.

Anyway, one of my best gfs in NYC has a brand new Balenciaga city in ‘black’ lambskin for sale. It’s in brand new/mint condition, comes with original dustbag and cards, measures 15″x9.5″x5.5, and has regular hardware. It retails US$1,500 plus tax, and she’s willing to sell it to a lucky buyer for US$1,200 inclusive of FREE international insured shipping. Keen? Let me know and I’ll put you in touch 🙂

Hello Beverly! I am doing some research as I am looking to get my first B-bag. Seems like you’re an experienced shopper in this category and am wondering if I can seek your advice? Would it be cheaper to get one in Singapore or Hong Kong? What is your opinion of the Rose Bruyere/Parme colours? Thanks so much!

I think it would be cheaper in HK as they tend to have cheaper luxury goods.. but only if you buy it there as you’d have to pay shipping+customs if you get it shipped out of HK.

I haven’t seen those colours in real life, I’m afraid!

Hi Beverly. I stumbled upon your blog by chance. I am very interested in the black balenciaga city. Does your friend still have it? Thanks.
