hey dear,

i hope things are better there. It must be really frustrating, esp when its our old stuff that brings us comfort. πŸ™ πŸ™

hey Bev, so sorry to hear about your shitty shipment experience. I know how frustrating it can be to be stuck in a foreign country and not having the security blanket of your absolute fave stuff.

your letter to the agent sounds too nonchalant, too cool and not enough *Q@(%)!*@$(&* as you have so succintly described! hahaha.

maybe that’s your opening shot, I dunnoe. but how did your agent reponse? That will determine how civil your next tone to the agent and the shipment executive will be.

for me, I will normally be quite emotional, especially if I had to spend copious amount of time (say more than half an hour) to shift through the bullshit and get to the mistake. and we all know a angry email soothes and balms so….err….well? except you wonder if you will ever get any decent response again after cursing the agent and his family to 13 generations down….hmm…maybe that’s not the best way huh?

The email wasn’t too the lady, but another company that is in charge of the whole operation – hence I still want to be polite but firm. He’s now on it and it’s arriving in Shanghai on Sunday, and will clear via express shipment. Thank God!

geez Bev… that was a nice email. I would have flipped. I can show you some emails I’ve sent to jewellery stores, hotel/restaurants and such, and they’re not pretty at all. I usually get the response I want though, afterwhich I’m quite satisfied..

I had to be nice cos that’s the main contact, so i just have to rely on him to lay the smack down on the lady that’s not doing her job. TUrns out he’s telling her manager, so i hope it all gets sorted soon. ARGH!!

I’m so sorry to hear about the shipment problems. That must utterly suck big time. Hopefully, you’ll get your shipment soon!

Don’t feel too bad. This is actually quite normal when you’re dealing with air/sea cargo in any capacity. You wouldn’t believe what dumb things happen along the way. It is very frustrating for the most part. Anyway, I hope you get your stuff soon.
