Suminoya
Level Ground, 1 Hosking Place
Sydney, NSW 2000
$$$$$

Been gagging to have dinner at Suminoya for ages now, especially after hearing how fresh their food is. It’s a Japanese BBQ place, which means you get raw food which you just pop onto your grill to cook. Sounds difficult, but it’s really easy to cook and any no-brainer can do it – none of us burnt the food and we weren’t even really paying attention to the food cooking. There were 6 of us and we got in without a reservation, which was really lucky since the restaurant is packed every night! It’s incredibly smoky inside, however, so don’t go wearing your Sunday best. It’s definitely a fun place to go with friends, since you all sit around a cosy table and cook to your heart’s content.

The restaurant is very, very expensive though – at least $50+pp. On the upside, the food is super fresh and tastes fantastic! Could not stop eating πŸ˜‰ No complaints whatsoever as every dish we ordered was awesome and the meat was so tender and the seafood fresh and glossy. Very lovely place, they just need to install better exhaust fans to get rid of the smoke, and lower their prices by at least 30%..

What Your Pizza Reveals

You have a hearty appetite. You are likely to complain if a restaurant has small portions.

You consider pizza to be bread… very good bread. You fit in best in the Midwest part of the US.

You like food that’s traditional and well crafted. You aren’t impressed with “gourmet” foods.

You are dependable, loyal, and conservative with your choices.

You are cultured and intellectual. You should consider traveling to Vienna.

The stereotype that best fits you is guy or girl next door. Hey, there’s nothing wrong with being average.
