GO you! πŸ™‚ You are so lucky! I guess I should’ve gotten into the IT world instead of just plain business communications. I, however, work for the automotive industry and there’s not much use for IT folks except for network things. Blah.

I prefer the Marketing/IT world.. more towards the Marketing side though πŸ™‚ I think IT does get really boring if you do it day-in day-out your whole life :X

I think you should tell your boss about it, that way they can give you reasonable indication of whether or not they want to keep you on.

Besides, I’m sure if you read your contract – there’s normally a ‘get out’ clause – normally it’s a couple of weeks notice.

Biggest advise I have is that ‘perfect’ opportunities don’t come around that often.

If MS aren’t willing to commit to either offer you a full time position or extend the contract then I’m sure your boss will understand.

My manager does know.. but I’ve got a few others on my plate so I’m also not willing to commit so quickly. Kind of want to look around and take some time to decide what really will suit me best πŸ™‚

yeah! at least she wanted you to work for them! that’s so good. well done.
one question though.. why are you looking for a new job if you’re happy at microsoft? or are you not?

My contract at MS expires in Sep.. so there’s discussion on whether I’ll stay on for another period as a contractor, or go to another company as a full-timer πŸ™‚
