How was your Valentines
We have never really specifically celebrated the occasion.. generally we just have a nice meal together. Especially these days – having a quiet night together is absolutely golden!
This year, Chris decided to knock my socks off and whip up a homecooked dinner. He buzzed around in the kitchen whilst I fed Hunter his dinner and whilst Dad and I put the kids to bed. This is what I saw when I peeked into the kitchen – FIRE!
I was treated to a delectable (and healthy) dinner of parchment-baked salmon (recipe with thanks to Cookyn) and roasted sweet potato fries. Dessert was a (not so healthy) banoffee pie, with everything made from scratch.
Was I impressed?
OH YOU BET YOUR BOOTY I WAS!
It was delicious. Even better when it’s all dripping in love 🙂 We had a nice quiet night in watching our wedding video and reminiscing.
Is all the sugary romanticism making you groan yet? 😉
Oh my darling, I think this Valentines Day card sums it up perfectly. I stole it off Etsy, because yes, I was too cheap/lazy/last-minute to organise a proper card for you. Oh who am I kidding? You know we are not the paper card type of people!
And for all you non romantics, who are busy eye-rolling at this blog post…… I’ll give you a break from the mush and, errr, post a video of my kid instead.
This is Carter every morning (but this particular video was taken today), at the very moment when he wakes up.
Can you see why he TOTALLY makes my day? 🙂
Good morning, sunshine!

Definitely a lil sunshine bear in the morning, such a big difference compared to when he puts himself to sleep! 🙂
Dr jekyll and mr hyde 😉
Happy lil’ bug! Aww, Carter melts my heart.
I love the video too 🙂 Bookmarked to watch so that I can go back and look at it whenever he’s annoying me haha
That was such a cute video!!!!!
Guaranteed way to make me smile, hee!
