I have Thalassaemia too. But my doctor didn’t say that I mustn’t take iron supplements. Can you tell me why? Or is it because it differs from person to person?
wondering…
OK, from what I gathered – iron supplements aren’t REAL. As in, not natural. As in, different molecular form. Because of that, the body doesn’t take to it as well if you have Thalassaemia. So while it’s good to eat green leafy veg for iron, it’s not a good idea to take supplements in the form of vitamins. You could go for a blood test and/or as your doctor to confirm, if you’re unsure?
merci.
lancets
i had that done on me a while ago, only the nurse didn’t use a lancet-gun, just the lancet needle itself, so it hurt more cuz she had to use her own energy to jab it into my finger. ow! i was not too happy about that.
Re: lancets
That’s what the posessed nurse did to me the second time, manually try to jab it in! She was really psycho too, in the way she was so rushed and comanding. At least now it’s over, and I’ll NEVER let her near me again π
