I think if you have two pets, one tends to be more people friendly, and the other one anti social. Caged pets at least. When I was a kid, I had two hamsters, Lucky and Lucy. Lucky was so energetic and fun, but Lucy wasn’t, even at night. Lucy died first, and then a few months later Lucky died in a horrible way (grr).

But then, sometimes two pets will just enjoy each other’s company so much that they ignore their human owners (which was the case with 2 birds we raised.)

yeah…my cat died….when i was 13. i was so sad back then. and still i’m. i loved that cat. and i still do. and i’m 19 now. and the fact, is that i’ve known that cat for a all my life. and it’s been with me all the times we moved as a child. and i was really pissed the way she died. i mean..i know everybody animals or humans dies at some point but good why does she have to die like that. she was going to play with neighboor cat and car smashed her. i was so piissed and sad…and what made me sick..is the car didn’t even stop…i mean..when you hurt something we feel it..some ppl are so insentive.

sorry, for that, long sad thing..but umm i don’t talk much about it anymoore. anyways, that’s god that carmel now likes humans …so you can play with it and it’s going to be easier to deal with sprite’s dead..once you’re back in australia…

Gosh.. that sounds really awful, and worse that you had to go through it. I feel sort of lucky now that Sprite died of natural causes, and when I’m in Singapore. I don’t think I could handle it if she was ‘murdered’ while I was there. Funny how a pet’s death can affect people so much, whether they be big or small. Maybe next time I’ll stick to pets with longer lifespans to spare me from this sort of pain..
