Gosh, I couldn’t live without a Blackberry. I’ve had one from work for 6 years and I’m sad to sad I’m seriously addicted. It’s the last thing I look at before I go to bed and the first thing I look at in the morning when I get up. The little red flashing light has become something I *need* to respond to as soon as I see it. So very, very bad!
Try not to get as addicted to it as some, as it’s a bad habit and one that’s hard to break. I’ve tried so many times but it hasn’t worked. I even asked to give my Blackberry back to work but I wasn’t allowed 🙁 I’ve upgraded to a Bold now too, and because it’s so pretty and shiny it makes it even harder not to look at 🙁
The bold’s so gorgeous huh? I love looking at it, heh. Can’t wait til i get all my stuff from eBay to change the look of it!
That’s really cool, it’s so strange that they would give you a US number.. you’d think they’d be paying a fortune in roaming!
What does Chris think of the Omnia? I was just told to check it out, so now I’m deciding between that and the HTC Diamond2 :/
He’s loving his Omnia. I’m not sure what the difference is between that and the Diamond 2 though…!

yeayyy for BB BOLD:) I love my bb bold too:) I can access everything through it…. but mine with tmobile… I unlock it:p so that can be used in SG and Indo too:) yeay!

Love love love my BB Bold as well… It’s my best buddy at the moment where I get connected to my love one and friends and crazy addiction to MSN and FB and surfing net… I am actuallu typing this from BB lol… I love it that its so idiot proof and u get connected anytime and anywhere… Hate the black cover tho and – just dun see the pink one out in SG at all…
I adore my BB chat to bits as well… The immediate photo sending function is brilliant. In Indo,the youngsters *me included* use BB to socialize… We dun exchange numbers, we exchange BB pins lol
I am so going to bling mine in Taiwan next week, to hell wth the proffessional boring black look *laugh*

How is it? What do you think of AT&T otherwise (with reception)?
I really love it.. it’s just comfortable to use and really practical, adore it. AT&T works well with me considering I’m across the world in Shanghai using it. No complaints!
Thanks for this post, Bev! I am in the midst of changing my useless HTC Touch to a new smartphone. I-phone’s too expensive as I need to sign a 12 or 24 months contract with another phone company. Tried out Omnia but didn’t like it. so now it’s down to Bold or Storm. I have not been able to see the phones so can’t decide but it’s most likely I’ll go for Bold 🙂
The husband in the Shopaholic series is always using his Blackberry and it annoys her to no end so I can imagine Chris’s annoyance…ehhehe….
The HTC is good as a phone, but not good for emails at all, it got far too annoying. And I don’t like the iphone, the Omnia, or even the Blackberry storm because the touchpad just doesn’t work for me. I like physical buttons like what the Bold has, so it’s no comparison for me!

i’m about to chuck out my Blackberry Pearl and do the Bold as well, except i’m now gonna have to adjust to the QWERTY way of inputting stuff! and i am definitely very conscious of when/where i use my Crackberry…i dated a boy years ago who was a first year i-banker (poor soul)…obviously that didn’t last very long because i couldn’t stand his constant blackberry-ing for work…it was like dating him AND his boss at the same time!!!
also, once while at dinner at a pretty fancy restaurant in NY, a couple sitting next to us barely spoke to each other…they were both bberrying for the three hours they were there! horrific.
I love the Bold best ‘cos it’s sleek but super functional. But geez it is addictive, I really need to be careful..
You know, chris and I did exactly that the first night we got our new phones – it WAS pretty sad 😉

The idea of always being connected is very cool. Would you ever run into some place where you don’t get reception? Or is Shanghai just SO high tech that it wouldn’t ever be an issue?

I don’t actually make personal calls.. got no one to call haha, cos I talk to everyone online, or sometimes SMS but quite rarely!

I miss the great internet (besides the censorship) of China! They’re trying to roll out this National Broadband network here in Oz… hmm… guess we’ll see how that turns out.

But I loved playing sudoku on it, in the taxi, on the way to work. LOVE!
