I have no idea, it was that took me. All I know is that it was next door to my hotel called Lan kwai Fong!
it’s on Gough Street in Central. it’s a hard street to find unless you know your way around HK…with a bit of luck, your cab driver should know where to take you…tell him “Gau Gei Ngau Lam Mein” and there’s a good chance he’ll know.
if not, here’s the best directions i can give: Gough Street is a short one, running parallel to Hollywood Road (a major road). tell them to stop you on the corner of Aberdeen Street and Hollywood Road, then walk AGAINST traffic on Hollywood Road till you see a wide flight of stairs heading downwards – if you look down from Hollywood, you can see dining chairs/tables of restaurants. that’s Gough Street. take the wide stairs down, then turn right…you should be able to find it quite easily.

Beef brisket noodles and Wonton noodles are my all time fav. they are my ‘must eat’ list whenever I go back!:D but i always like them with ho fan noodles instead of egg noodles or rice vermicelli.
Actually quite a few people were having them with the hor fun noodles too, I’ll try that next time!

I can’t even eat the tendon in chicken feet, and just recently started to eat a little bit of chicken feet.

OMG, I absolute LOVE “Kau Kee”! IMO, they have the BEST beef brisket noodles in the world!! I am not even a fan of beef but for “Kau Kee”, I will happily gobble down bowls of beef brisket noodles! We tend to go there during their off peak hours, to avoid the crazy Q & crowds. Oh of cos, never expect any service at such joints, be prepared to be verbally abused and just enjoy the food! hahahaha! I can’t wait to see more of your HK pics!

there aren’t really any off-peak hours…they are perpetually jammed. however, the key is to get in line at about 8pm, 15min before they open, in order to secure a seat.
