oh, that chinese place looks awesome.

but blackbird, ugh, sucks the big one. my friends and i have had problems every time we’ve eaten there. we all got food poisioning once, and then another time my friend ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail and a piece of the metal blender (one of the blades) was in her drink!!!

we’ve all sworn off that place even though it’s like 2 mins away from our work building.

Yikes!! That is SCARY :X Did your friend at least get the cocktail for free?? the food was sooo good though, but the next time I’m there i’ll watch out for dodgy stuff πŸ˜‰

The pork and chicken look AMAZING! and the service sounds like non-other…really. wow…sounds like an experience more than a meal. lucky you!

This Chinese place looks like a serious contender. I am guessing you could go 10 more times, try different things each time, and come home with photos proving they put their own style and touches on each of the dishes ordered. I think there are probably far better things to be tasted there than the ice cream. I’d love to see what they do to a duck, to seafood, heck, even to a plate of vegetables. πŸ™‚

That’s exactly what I intend to do.. next time we’re going to get the scallops dish, it sounded really nice!

Have you ever considered being a restaurant reviewer as your profession instead? πŸ˜‰ If I ever end up in your part of the world, I’ll know where to eat!

I would love to be a food critic/reviewer or host a TV program about food! Only as a hobby though.. I would get soooo fat if it were a career, lol!

They were so splendid, easily one of the best chinese food I’ve ever had. So happy they’re so close πŸ˜›

The first was more elegant and the second was more fun, but maybe that was ‘cos I had one for lunch and one for dinner so that was just the atmosphere! well, happy that I found 2 new great places in one day anyhow πŸ™‚

I can *almost* taste the stuff, from the way you described ’em! :P~

Loooove great customer service, esp. in restaurants~! πŸ™‚

I wish we could transfer taste and scent over the internet.. so hard to describe just how good it was!!! *rubs belly*

might check this place out sometime! ooohhh, I once worked as a waitress in a chinese restaurant (back in my Uni days) and at the end of my shift, I would ask the assistant chef if I can have a deep fried ice cream with chocolate syrup. yummmm.

Yes, Blackbird’s a cool place to dine esp. with large groups.

Definitely check it out if you’re in the area! It’s so good :)~

Can’t believe I’ve lived in Sydney for so long and never even knew Blackbird existed *smacks head*

I’m still waiting for Braised pork ribs Hunan style photo to load… cant wait . . .

Tomorrow I’m leaving for Penang and Hatyai, get ready for my food adventure !
