FASHION, Jewellery, Shopping SAUGHT: SUSTAINABLE JEWELLERY 24 January 2014

Saught

Saught is a 2-year old Singaporean label with a very interesting premise – the name means “a covenant; for peace and reconciliation”, and they pride themselves as a social business creating products from landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXOs) to support sustainability in post-conflict countries.

They work with non-profit organizations and buy scrap metal, then train Cambodians to turn it into jewellery (which creates jobs).

Their pieces are pretty exquisite, with a lovely weight to them and a unique design. In the end, I settled on these:

Saught’s Pursuing Peace Earrings are delicate yet strong, and I fell in love with how smooth and solid the gold feels. And, HOW CUTE is the design? I love that the dangle is behind the ear. The earrings are simple enough for every day wear, yet still pretty because of the long dangle.

Here’s what they look like on!
