NOMNOMNOM…
So
I bought the Combi baby spoon and squeezed some breastmilk onto it (maybe 2 drops at a time), and stuck it in his mouth. Gave him the spoon with breastmilk about 5 times and he took to it OK (though his expressions were kinda hilarious) – I think it gave Chris and I a way bigger kick than it did to him π I figure we’ll do that every day or so to get him used to the whole idea.. so that in a couple a weeks we can transition to his Organic baby rice cereal (from Australia!) and hopefully he’ll handle that well. Errrr.. fingers crossed!
All cuddled up on Chris when he returned from his Seattle business trip
Splish splash on a hot Saturday!
Looking strangely like we’re about to go to the beach..
but we’re actually going for lunch with a friend and shopping π
Nomming on Italian food
Playdate & shopping with ickleoriental (pic stolen off her phone),
with impressive colour coordination of clothing!
I love my 6mo BabyBoss to bits and beyond and think he’s just the best. But I am stressing him because I keep saying to him, “See what Hunter can do – Why aren’t you doing it yet…?” Hehehe, what a terrible Mum I am. But Hunter is just too cute.
BabyBoss.. teehee… that is so true!! I wanna see your bub tooooooooo

aww so cute.
i like that pointy hair bit sticking out on top of his head.
he reminds me of a rug rat, with bread roll limbs!!
Haha yeah, he’s slowly growing a little cockatoo tuft of hair there π
It is not necessary have to wait until 6 months to wean. The latest evidence showed is better to start weaning at 4 months. Have a look at the link.http://www.madeformums.com/feeding-news/weaning-from-four-months-or-six-breaking-news/12293.html
There’s so much information now on the different ages to wean, what you should wean with etc etc. It’s overwhelming! Thanks for this link – it’s good to keep informed and Hunter’s already 5-and-a-bit months so I think we can basically start anytime, heh

Have you heard of or considered the baby-led weaning approach? (http://www.babycenter.ca/baby/startingsolids/babyledweaning/) There are advantages to skipping baby cereal and going straight to more nutritionally dense food….my son’s first food was mashed up bits of avocado and the sky was the limit after that!
Thanks for the link! It’s always good reading up lots. The baby-led starts at 6 months which is the time I plan to start anyhow!
