Ever since he was born, Hunter has had very distinct moods between morning and evenings. His prime time is, by far, mornings. Our routine is that at 8AM, we draw back the curtains so sunlight streams in, and un-swaddle him and brightly say “Good Morning Hunter!”. He’s always up before 8AM already and waiting for us, so once he’s un-swaddled, he streeeeetches his ‘lil arms up and immediately greets us with a big happy *grin* and lots of excited gurgles.
We then lift him out of his cot and he gets lots of cuddles and attention on the big bed. It’s his early session of delighted gurgles, coos, lots of delighted grins and laughter. Very cute, as he practically bubbles over with delight! We sing to him, talk to him, and he is completely in his element. There is not one frown, not one bit of fussiness the entire morning, and it’s been that way since the day he was born. I’m thinking we have one helluva morning lark on our hands 😛
So here he is at 9 weeks old (last week), in the morning, getting lots of cuddles 🙂

SUPER CUTE! Look at that lil tummy, he’s definitely filling up that outfit fast!
i don’t think he’ll fit into it in another 2 weeks… a bummer cos I love it!
He’s indescribably happy in the mornings for sure! But then after noon he can get fussy, particularly when it’s time for his nap(s)..

Your baby sounds perfect. I can’t imagine my little girl waiting for me with a wide smile as she bawls whenever she gets up from her sleep. She also cries when she wants to be hugged, which is like all the time. I can go on but will refrain. You are so lucky to be blessed with a good natured baby!:)
Aww it’s cute she cries for you to hug her though! You will appreciate that later right, cos I assume it means your child will always wanna be close to you 🙂 I suppose lil girls are a lot clingier than boys too!
Must be a silly question, but why must a baby be swaddled when they sleep? are you supposed to swaddle them when they nap as well or only overnite? Sorry for the question, i’m just intrigued 😉
Hunter looks more like Chris in these sets of photos! i love hunter’s smile – has so much personality for a little boy!
They don’t HAVE to be swaddled.. but the majority of babies find it very soothing to be tight/snug when sleeping as it mimics when they were in the womb. It also helps control their startle reflex (where they random throw out their arms and it wakes them up), so they sleep more soundly.

beware… the super cute outfit is getting rather small on him. lol.
haha i know.. it’s meant to be up to 6 months old but I think he’ll outgrow it in a few weeks 🙁 A shame cos it’s my fave outfit!
