Happy Chinese New Year 2011!!

Here’s wishing all of you a wonderful Chinese New Year! The fireworks went off last night directly outside our window – egads! Hunter slept soundly through it all.. but can’t say the same for myself 😉 I like the pic above ‘cos that “Super Cute” onesie is too adorable for words, it even has a little silky green cape attached to it, hehe.
To celebrate, Chris and I took a lil stroll down the road and had a lunch date, our first since the arrival of Hunter. Mum and Dad were nice enough to stay at home and babysit so we could have some adult-time to ourselves. It was just what we needed, and so nice to spend some time alone with each other just chatting.. though the conversation kept straying back to our baby, and by the end of lunch we were declaring that we missed him too much and rushed back home to see him 😛

Hehe I couldn’t resist when I saw it online.. it’s my fave outfit on him!
Aren’t you suppose to stay at home for like 2 months and drink chicken leg soup or something to rise your metabolism after you’ve given birth because you lose so much blood from it?
I’m not too sure about it, but I do know that my Aunty in SYD is MAKING my cousin do this after she had her baby… They say it’s a ‘Chinese’ thing, I just thought you would of done it too lol.
I think that’s an old wives tale, heh. The doc told me to just eat healthily, rest a lot, and stay relaxed – which is actually quite easy to follow as my body craves all that anyway!

He was so big I dropped almost 10 kg after the birth, hehe! Thank goodness 😛

im amazed you can go out already! (i thought you have to be homebound for a month after you had given birth! – so sorry im no good at such things!)
I actually thought I wouldn’t wanna go outdoors either for a good few weeks, but this week we had such niiiice weather and I was feeling so cooped up and crappy indoors, so couldn’t resist. It was a good move, cos totally reinvigorated me! Much happier now for my sanity 😉
