I actually wash those rubber in cold water and re-use / stick them at the shoes, and they stay quite well then… do u want to give it a try?
It’s not that that’s the problem.. I used them brand new and they stick to my slingback straps just fine, but the sides of the strip are also a bit sticky so they stick on my feet TOO, and so pull straight off the straps!
Seems like it’s a common problem that happens to everyone that have bought those straps ;(

I absolutely will do the same! I like to provide feedback, good and bad. Especially if it’s bad, I try to be diplomatic and understanding and just lay out the issue, not complain uselessly. And it’s not to get free stuff! Once, after receiving particularly good service at a retail store I asked to speak to the manager on duty after I’d paid for my purchase. I told the manager in-person what a great help the sales staff had been and that I was really pleased with my experience. I think the feedback was appreciated!
Yayyy power to people that give feedback – I reckon companies really benefit from it!
I much prefer Foot Petals, have tried the Scholls heel stuff before and they didn’t stay on at all.
Yeah i agree, the plasticy material Scholls use is TOTALLY ineffective!
Good for you, if you weren’t working for Ebay I would tell you to work for a consumer advocacy group.
Hmmmm… or a food critic π

i was going to write scholls a nasty email about the EXACT SAME THING today! I spent $13.99 Canadian on my strips — and they’re garbage! I must admit though, I am a big fan of their “ball of foot” cushions!
I dunno why they just don’t WORK π But they have new insoles that stick down to your shoe, and they’re made of a really soft fuzz material and padded – now THOSE are really good!
wow.. I’m truely impressed with their Customer service!!.. Thumbs up .. even if the strip sucks.. HAHA
Yeah, it was impressive that they sent all that. Now I just hope they’re busy improving the product !:P
I have the gel cushions party feet exactly from the same company.
They don’t work at all, it just makes my shoes a little tighter.
And they are expensive here $20NZD!!!
That is quite a bit of Scholl products there hun lol.
Good on you!
Yeah they’re not very soft so I can’t figure out WHAT they’re used for haha. I like the cheap ones that are just foam with a bit of fabric!
I wonder whether it is an Australia thing. I don’t see the same level of customer service in Singapore. Or maybe we just complain too much already.
Hmmm dunno? But I think in SG ppl complain amongst themselves and lesser so to the actual company? Then again, ppl are like that here in AU too.. it’s just me that likes contacting the company directly π
Wow that was nice of them to send all of that stuff, hopefully you have more luck with their other products!
It def was lovely of them π I dont’ understand why they don’t improve/fix their products though – when I started asking around EVERY SINGLE PERSON that has tried them hated ’em! :X
most certainly do not work for sg!!
Yes it would be baaad in SG cos of the plasticky exterior that touches your foot – it’ll just stick and be all yuck!
yeaps, that and the freebies – i think they wont do something like that in sg.
that’s good customer care service that scholl provides. too bad their product is not up to mark~

Yeah.. they just need to make their product with a fabric exterior and with proper adhesive, and it’ll be perfect!
Scholls slingback straps are absolutely rubbish…as are their party feet which make your feet feel sweaty and gross. Foot Petals are far, FAR better!
Hollywood tape is awesome though, so at least you got that in the package π

I don’t get that rubber/gel material that goes into contact with your feet. I mean, that sort of friction CAUSES blisters?!
EXACTLY!!!!!
Unfortunately these Scholl gel things don’t work well for me at all! They fall off or melt into a sticky mess. I have stopped buying them. I prefer Foot Petals – they last forever and are SO comfortable. Not sure if you can get them in Australia though!

I think those slingback strips are COMPLETELY USELESS.. and their ball-of-foot pads are so-so, because they don’t have an adhesive so they just move everywhere. But the other stuff is really nice!
I totally agree about writing to a company about their products, good and bad. I bought an expensive pair of athletic Skechers and wore it to work at camp, and not even a day into camp the shoes fell apart. I had to use rubberbands and staples to hold them together because they were the only pair I had! After camp I put the shoes in a box, covered in mud and all, wrote a letter about my experience, and sent the damn things back. A week later the company asked me to pick a new pair of shoes from their website and the shoes came quickly. So happy with customer service like that.

Oh oh oh my girl friend had the exact same thing happen to her! And I’ve got the same Sketchers as she does (the one with the net lining so your feet can breathe) so I’m really worried about mine now and try not to wear ’em too often.
So great that they make-good for you though, I still think they’re a good brand π
oh, i am exactly like you, giving feedback to companies..
i recently received $10 coles myer voucher from dairy farmers..
